Yeah ure right but he does play 4 strokes at the beginning .
And well yeah the distortion isnt that annoying. It's not like i set my distortion right... And i do know why het chopped the song into pieces.. It's easier if you wanna learn the song, to play it in parts than play the whole song at once.
you don't want that much distortion, get a nice valve amp and it'll sound alot more natural than the tone he has, if you want a tone like his though just buy a shit line6 amp and loads of distortion pedals
I'm a real amateur guitar player, I'm playing 2 years maximum. And I'm strumming only for fun and I figured it myself. This song is so great and easy to play. That's what it makes it greater. I feel so good when I'm playing it when I'm listening to it. So great! Cheers all of you!
why cant you just do like most of the other and fuckin say which fret and string you are hiting ? much more simple for us beginners. i recomend bobbycrispy for you guys, he´s a great teacher!
no, the first note, i cant nail it! it sound like shit, it´s an F sharp am i right? and which string and fret do you use? 2nd string 2nd fret? pleasae help!
Yes Marcosfarhat. I agree with you, to see what the teacher do, and try to copy is the best way to learn, because you have to use your senses, and then you can remember better. That kind of lesson that you have to pay attention to the frets are boring.
I never would've figured this song would be so easy XD. I kept palm muting this section for some reason. But now I'm doing it this way and it's much easier. Thanks XD.
When Kirk or James play the power clords they use their little finger and index finger.. this guy uses the ring finger aswel.. does it make a difference?
the chorus is a little more difficult, the lick played over the verse after the intro, and probably the hardest riff, the bassline in the intro, and yes it is a bass
Good lesson, watch mine cover ;)

I think it's just 2th fret (6th string) and 4th fret (5th string). I don't know if it's correct, I figured it myself.

Maybe Metallica isn't the best thing for a beginner to start with.
CeNaTyLeR 3 years ago
lol that's maybe true!! xD
No that is true!! xD
But for ME Metallica was the reason to start playing guitar, so I wanted to play Metallica right from the beginning... ^^
wcwreymysteriojr 3 years ago
true, but if your a beginner you could learn some easy intro's or something that they do.. enter sandman is easy, fade to black etc. :)

Actually, it's not, there's a few F#'s missing ;)
Other than that though it's a great learning aid for beginners.
