  • Munore laying it on a little thick this episode, isn't he?

Next he'll be serving them haggis.

  • "Don't lick me laddie!"

  • "Never had a lesson in my life, can you believe that laddie?"

    Um. Yes, actually I can.

  • bird in the hand sir classic!

  • and as usual, the women come straight at Sharpe...

  • Don't lick me, Sharpe!

  • Does anyone know that sharpe is married and has a daughter in the books

  • @ChickenMeCrazy sharoe's wife died in sharpe's enemy on here

  • @camerl2009 sharpe's not whats up there my finger hit the o lol

  • Sharpe gets to make a lot of disgusted/exasperated faces in this one.

  • You either love bagpipes or you hate them. Seems like. I happen to love them. :) BUT it does depend on whose playing them and this poor guy is . . learning! lol Songs

  • oh Sharp, not with a nun...

  • @termometen

she renounced her vowes by throwing away the cross. no good in it getting tangled in sharpe's chest-hair.

  • @spiderlime hahahaha lol :D

  • cpt. spears... should be 007

  • Ok....who gets more chicks? Kirk or Sharpe.

  • @Evilmike42 Sharpe!

  • He can because otherwise he wouldnt jave been able to understand the french guy saying it was bills he was talking english because thats what sharpe is like

  • Sharpe at 1:17 'Ah, todays shipment of love interest has arrived.

  • @GeneralSmanTheBest Yes. It's actully getting tiresome. Especially the episode after Teresa died. I don't believe Sharp is the kind of man that would show disrespect for his just murdered wife by being with someone else so soon. Only a man would write that.

  • @Songsmirth I thought each episode was set years apart??

  • @blackhel234 Huh! Never thought of that Black. Thanks! It would make a difference but then he cheated on Teresa the night before she was killed so it throws me off thinking what a moral man he is supposed to be. ho hum Songs

  • "don't lick me laddie!"

  • i swear sharpe is supposed to be able to speak french at this point in the series, he could in enemy

  • @bookloverholic probably lost it when teresa died, greif affects people in many ways

  • @bookloverholic He also likes to keep it secret.....but yeah, could be a continuity error.

  • "don't lick me laddie!"

  • @MajBlood

You've watched every bloody episode mate. You love it.

  • It is a bit corny how Sharpe meets a chick every episode, in the middle of a massive war in Spain.

  • @MajBlood ahh man, u know you love it, or you wouldnt be watching them all, i bet uv'e seen them a hundred times. u wish u were him?

and what woman wouldnt jump sharpe, i know i would

  • @bookloverholic Yeh I guess I wouldn't mind being Sharpe, but the women characters he meets are usually annoying.

  • Haha the Pipe Major is smart...puts cotton in his ears so he can't hear Monroes terrible piping lol.

  • Ending Lol!

Sharpe: How could you stand it?

    Scottish soldier shrugs.

Sharpe: I said, how could you stand it?

Scottish soldier smile and pull out ear plugs. haha

  • "Don't lick me, laddie!" lmao

  • thats what i call hunting

  • 1:32 They always gave Hagman the best lines :)

  • And another woman runs straight into Sharpe's arms...

How does he do it..?! :p

  • @MidnighWolf

must be the new Axe body spray he has been using :P

  • This is one of my fraverouts.

  • i love sharpe, hes the ultimate poon magnet. no matter where he goes there seems to be a lineup for his cock

  • i love how he's trying to get the colonel to admit he knows english: "on the count of three im going to kick you in the crotch" the frenchman's face seems to visibly flinch from the aspect. I enjoy sharpe cause he is the kind of smarts you want. very practical with strong instincts.

  • I like that they avoid playing on stereotypes of Scots.

  • What's happened to Hogan?

  • i actually found a site that makes the baker rifles....im interested in how they actually work......

  • @futacattac Same as muskets exept they put spirals in the barrels so the bullet spins and flys strater.

  • @777bradshaw777 hence the term "rifling"

  • @777bradshaw777 and wrap the ball in greased leather so it grips the barrels rifle better. and the barrel of a rifle is longer. also, the bayonet is longer.

  • @jasper0192837465

Barrel length of the Baker rifle is just over 30inches, the barrel length of a short land pattern Brown Bess is 42 inches. So the Baker has a shorter barrel but it does not seem to decrease its accuracy, shows just how crucial barrel rifling is to accuracy

  • @Robaaaayy the India pattern musket in use at the time had a quite considerable windage (gap between the barrel and the bullet/ball. This was what caused it to be so innacurate and what allowed it to be reloaded so fast in battle. The Baker had very little windage (taken up by the leather patch the ball was wrapped in), together with the rifling grooves this made it slow to reloead but very accurate.

  • @peterlesliegordon

what was the point in your reply? The statement i was replying to was 'the barrel of a rifle is longer' by jasper0192837465. I was saying that the Bakers barrel was considerably shorter but had considerably greater accuracy, and saying how important rifling is to accuracy. I thought that the operation of loading a musket and a baker was obvious which is why i didnt explain it.

  • mishaonbass: 3 questions;

    1. How many of these shows do you have to watch to know they're predictable?

    2. How high is your boredom threshold?

    3. Will you please post the holiday special 'mishaonbass and Ebert' coz I missed it the first time around.

Of course it's predictable numbnuts - look at the medium not the message: TV - is there a nobel prize for that? I'm more disappointed in the vacuous posts than the show. C'mon entertain me with a good post worth reading for god's sake.

  • Purefoy is supposedly set to play Harry Flashman in an upcoming series. I often wonder how Flashman and Sharpe would get on (probably not too bloody well)

  • at 1.34 Sharpe's thinking yeah about time my love interest / sexy damsel in distress showed up whos going to inexplicably know something of vital importance

  • So true... he was probably getting quite worried since she wasn't there in the first 10 minutes.

These shows make predictability into a friggin' art form.

  • what woman wouldn't want to run into Richard's arms.

  • He's been dipping his wick all over a war zone for years. I'd want him to go through a sheep-dip first!

  • @justcallmecaroline - ha ha ha! That made me laugh, that did. :-D

  • It doesn't sound that bad.

  • "How do you stand it?" "Huh?" *Earplug* LMFAO

  • James Purefoy (Captain Spears) was the original actor for "V" in "V for Vendetta" but was replaced by Hugo "Agent Smith" Weaving.

  • 4:07

Where he sit's on the bagpipe and jump's up like a startled cat hahaha classic.

  • so, which would you rather, for me to play another tune, OR A DANGERUOS MISSION!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • "Don't lick me laddie!" LOL

  • Now scantly clad women are just running into Sharpe's arms.

  • you just have to love that caracter Monroe!

  • Hey, that's Mark Anthony from Rome!!

  • "bad form old boy"

  • the convention of genf should forbid backpipes. that are totally unhuman weapons!!!

  • "Never had a lesson in my life, can you believe that, laddie?" Yes.

  • Bagpipes are the only known weapon which is more effective the less the user knows how to use it.

  • Ah! The old sit on the bag pipes comedy routine. Always funny.

  • Alot of demoiselles in distress...........

  • Captain Spears is Marc Antony in HBO's Rome

  • Cue damsel in distress! They all flood to sharpie!

    I wouldn't mind, though ;)

  • " Which would you prefer me to do Sharpe? Play the march or send you on a dangerus mission!?"

    " Dangerus mission sir!!!"

    LOL

  • Don't lick me laddie lol.

  • I know. EWW.

  • yes you are right. He did played Marc Antony in the series ROME. Wonderful actor

  • He was also in Resident Evil

  • He also played Edward, the Black Prince of Wales in A Knight's Tale.

  • I think I also saw him in a food fetish porn film
