st helens as demolished most of earlstown and newton ,not much historic now , i can see the curzon being knocked down soon .

St Helens MBC took chisels to the sandstone lintels above the college entrances' on Crow lane to remove/deface any history of Newton-Le-Willows .. and then screwed plastic plates over the "vandalised" areas proclaiming St Helens college "Newton Campus"
Corporate desecration in the first instance.
