Just in case anyone wondered.To make alcohol you need water,sugar and YEAST.The inmate that gets drunk gave the recipe for Pruno but left out one important ingredient.She mixes the fruit beverage powder,which is essentially sugar with orange juice,while there may be live yeast in the orange juice it's unlikely as most OJ is UHT.Yeast is a single celled organism that thrives on the human body,women have one area prone to yeast overgrowth.This is where she gets the yeast from,need I say more?

This info was gleaned from another documentary where pruno production was disgussed in some detail,it was a group of male prisoners manufacturing it and they were using bread to obtain the yeast and it relied on the chance that somewhere in the bread there were a few yeast that weren't killed by the cooking.This is where they mentioned why women in prison have no shortage of yeast! eeeuurrchh!!
