You know I'm a huge Madonna fan, but I went to see her in concert around 2002 and it was one of the most dissapointing concerts I'd ever seen. I was expecting her to sing all her most well known hits that all the fans love and paid money to hear. Instead, she mainly sang new songs from her most recent album (which at the time was "Music") with just a few classics mixed in. It seemed like the show was more about promoting her latest album and not about giving the fans what they really wanted.

I find it unfortunate that these pop stars don't realize that it's the very nature of their business to have a certain "shelf-life".They rise, have something unique to offer, then keep trying to relive it the rest of their lives.Madonna is just "aping" the popular culture for ideas now. She hasn't been original since the 90's.It saddens me to see these people stuck in their personas, then beating us over the head w/ it, till eventually people mock them for what made them famous to begin with.
