Franklin Delano Roosevelt was great due to his personality and charm. He gave Americans hope and progress. Something Hoover didn't offer. The American people fell in love with his wit and character, just like with Ronald Wilson Reagan. FDR was an aristocrat, elitist, believed in free enterprise, charities, private and what not...BUT changed his stance 'cause he saw Hoover's do nothing from 1929-1932 worsen the economy, Elenanor Roosevelt made him Progressive; his distant uncle Teddy Roosevelt.

The Fathers widely accepted the idea of the God and praised the Bible, but what makes them Christian would be an explicit admittance of the divinity of Jesus. Roosevelt transformed the American political landscape and revolutionized the role of the presidency by forever changing the relationship Americans had with their government.

For better or worse, Roosevelt was the perfect man for the time, a superior leader who led the country through one of the darkest periods of all human history.
