the problem with organised labour is that a lot of our comrades don't get the say anymore. which defies the very reason why unions were created - to stand up FOR workers and NOT the thugs.

This is exactly how the government takes your rights away. They try to scare you, mislead you, into believing that they are trying o help you.

The inalienable right to free contract in the U.S. Constitution is on of the most important rights we have. This law would wipe that right away for good. But don't take my word for it. Read the U.S. Constitution and a copy of this law for yourself, and then act on what you know, rather than what you are being told.

You "actors playing politicians" neglect to mention that people can still organize unions RIGHT NOW without passage of this legislation. Furthermore, they do not disclose that this will eliminate an employees option to vote to unionize by using a secret ballot. Employees who do not want to unionize would find themselves the object of abuse at the hands of pro-union fellow employees. What's so wrong with having a secret ballot? It's the way we elect our elected officials? KNOW THE FACTS!!!!

I will confess, if I owned a business and it unionized in today's environment, I would strive to learn where I went wrong to cause my workforce to unionize, close it, let everyone go and reopen with a new non-union workforce with appropriate changes made. Jobs belong to the employers who create them, not to workers, but good business dictates that the workforce be valued and treated accordingly or the business will ultimately fail.

The presence of a labor union in a business is always the fault of management (past or present). The only issue is like any bureaucracy, a labor union is difficult to get rid of once the incompetent management issue is dealt with. The Card Check law should be amended to automatically decertify the labor union and require a new vote every three years. Easy to establish a union to wake management up and easy to get rid of when and if management straightens up.
