@johnsonshow my baseball team i played on would be more like AorB for softball we played in to worldseries for 16-19 year olds only the top 8 teams in the usa got to it we took 6th and 3rd there are 20,000 teams we was in top 8.

You know what I think is girlie? Grown men arguing over a softball video. Point is - softball is fun to play and it's just a recreational sport. It's not hard to play and it's built for the common man (Common meaning anyone who isn't a professional, no matter if you played HS or college - you still are a common chump). The ball doesn't travel as far or as easily, but that's the trade off of the slow pitch and it's intended to be safe for the common man. It's not hard to comprehend that.

People need to quit comparing softball to baseball as they are two different sports. Yes anybody can hit a softball but if your average is below 500 you won't be playing with any tournament teams. Also every ball gets put into play so you better be able to play solid defense too. And don't forget that a "softball" is harder than a baseball.

The difficulty in softball isn't hitting the ball, its fielding balls that are killed by the guys batting. At this level of slow pitch home runs aren't as big of a deal, they are used strategically. By that I mean that the batters try to place the ball where they want it to get on base and then when there are guys on base they try to use their home runs.

The sport really isn't that easy. Compared to baseball, yes, but not just anyone could come out and be a good fielder or place hitter.

@wookieeassassin plus the bases are closer and the balls going over 120mph i think in some cases it is harder than some base ball in mlb if its a ground ball its of the end or broke bat so its week and if its hard it goes thru the guys i play with make the plays on the hard hit balls off 12o bats all day its def not easy i agree
