earlier this week, i went to borders. i decided to buy looking for alaska, which i hadn't read yet. while flipping through the book's pages for no real reason, i was surprised (and ridiculously happy and excited) to find a note. the writer of said note managed to include "french the llama", "nerdfighter/nerdfighting" (obviously), "decreasing worldsuck", "the meaning of awesome", "puppy sized elephants", and "best wishes" in 5 sentences. it was written on puppy sized elephant stationary.

I found a nerdfighter note today! I was in Borders to purchase myself a copy of Paper Towns and out popped a note! Complete with a drawing of a giraffe! I was even in the process of teaching my mother the art of adding "in your pants" to book titles when I found it. Does it get any better?? No, I think not! It made my day. Thank you Nerdfighters. =)

i went to a barnes and nobles near me a while ago to search for looking for alaska, and they didnt have it out anywhere even tho it was on the computer, and i asked someone who worked there about it, and alas they came out from the back room 10 minutes later with a display identical to the one you were putting slips in so now your books are actually available in one of the the barnes and nobles in albany ny.
