Just bought the 2010 Gen Coupe with the 2.0T last Saturday.... I would advise ANYONE to at least test drive one, if not buy one!!!!! Sporty, quick and very nimble to manuver around the streets. I love the looks it gets because thay have been released in a very limited supply. Look at the Infinity G37, basically the same car for half the price, with an OUTSTANDING warranty.

Best option for the price would be Nissan 370Z. Somebody mentioned Camaro V6. I have Eclipse GT 2006 265HP/Torque and i raced Camaro V6 the other day. Thought guy will smoke me but actually it was just keeping up with me. Japanese Engineering is far superior then American, period. Nissan 370Z, Hyndai Genesis Coupe, Eclipse GT, are top three options in my book...then comes Camaro V6 and Mustang GT.

They have one going for $27,470.00.. which is pretty much comparable to Camry pricing or something.. That seemed like a pretty good deal to me!

I rest my case. I'd like to say the new genesis shall be great, but I can never see myself buying one brand new. For $25k you can get a nice 2jz supra to pull power out of, a couple of eclipse GSX's, and Evo 8 and a WRX. Or and Sti... all which are known to the tuner world as much more powerful and tuneable cars.
The turbo genesis will be quicker, but I don't expect any engine management to be too high tech at least for a few years.
From what i've known through reading some Hyuandies actually use Mitsubishi parts, both in motor and drivetrain. Question comes to mind, will this car in 2.0 turbo form come with the famous 4g63 motor, powered by an underpowered 13G turbo (td04) to make 230hp if this happens which I doubt, but if it did, those stock internals are good for 500+whp

you should get right information. the truth is mitsubishi borrowed engine block form hyundai. the original engine called theta engine developed in 2004. it became a world engine after chrysler produces modified version of theta engine. mitubishi joined co-op later. 4B11 engine has bigger turbo charger than genesis coupe has. I am sure that genesis coupe has a lot of potiential to pull out extra horsepower.

Just bought the 2010 Gen Coupe with the 2.0T last Saturday.... I would advise ANYONE to at least test drive one, if not buy one!!!!! Sporty, quick and very nimble to manuver around the streets. I love the looks it gets because thay have been released in a very limited supply. Look at the Infinity G37, basically the same car for half the price, with an OUTSTANDING warranty.

Please! The Eclipse is a Gallant with front wheel drive. No comparison. The Camaro & Mustang are heavier cars, which is why they are both offered with a V8. The Eclipse is a nice coupe/convertible, but it's not made for performance. That's why 80% of them are sold to women.

Best option for the price would be Nissan 370Z. Somebody mentioned Camaro V6. I have Eclipse GT 2006 265HP/Torque and i raced Camaro V6 the other day. Thought guy will smoke me but actually it was just keeping up with me. Japanese Engineering is far superior then American, period. Nissan 370Z, Hyndai Genesis Coupe, Eclipse GT, are top three options in my book...then comes Camaro V6 and Mustang GT.

also if you say you want the infiniti, its like 7k more expensive!
and for the 350, yes thats a great car, but also, it is quite a bit more expensive and feels heavy around the bends (to me at least)

I got interested and took a look at my local Hyundai dealership (Mike Kelly Hyundai in Butler, PA) and they have some really great deals on the new 2010 model. They have one going for $27,470.00.. which is pretty much comparable to Camry pricing or something.. That seemed like a pretty good deal to me!

Wow what car to unleash to try and steel the H from Honda. This is a big step for Hyundai. If they price this car around 20k it will sell big. I can't think of any rear wheel drive car in that price range that can compete with this.

Yes, their cars are often less expensive in the US, but that's the case with ANY automakers. The US market is extremely competitive and has thus driven the prices lower. Look it up. BMW, Honda, Subaru etc. A 3-series costs about $10k more in Europe than in the US. I mean EVERYONE has to price their cars lower in the US than in any other market, including Canada.

I rest my case. I'd like to say the new genesis shall be great, but I can never see myself buying one brand new. For $25k you can get a nice 2jz supra to pull power out of, a couple of eclipse GSX's, and Evo 8 and a WRX. Or and Sti... all which are known to the tuner world as much more powerful and tuneable cars.
The turbo genesis will be quicker, but I don't expect any engine management to be too high tech at least for a few years.
They've stepped there game up I give them that.

Here's where questioning comes into play.
It uses 2 engines a 2.0 turbo 4cyl or 3.8 6cyl.
From what i've known through reading some Hyuandies actually use Mitsubishi parts, both in motor and drivetrain. Question comes to mind, will this car in 2.0 turbo form come with the famous 4g63 motor, powered by an underpowered 13G turbo (td04) to make 230hp if this happens which I doubt, but if it did, those stock internals are good for 500+whp

you should get right information. the truth is mitsubishi borrowed engine block form hyundai. the original engine called theta engine developed in 2004. it became a world engine after chrysler produces modified version of theta engine. mitubishi joined co-op later. 4B11 engine has bigger turbo charger than genesis coupe has. I am sure that genesis coupe has a lot of potiential to pull out extra horsepower.
