@sonic10158 Wrong you liar. They can not ruin any speed running. They just trip you up for a slight second. And no Sonic is still fast in this game just not as fast as he usually is. Plus Sonic is about platforming first and foremost and speed as an added bonus. This is an awesome game.

Seriously, anyone who can speed through a level in this game that quickly deserves to be praised. You kicked that level's ass, despite all of the glitches, and I've NEVER seen Sonic run so fast in this game. I didn't think that it was physically possible to run like that, until now. Excellent job.

I just thought up of a request. Try doing Wave Ocean with Sonic and when you get to the whale part, use the sky gem to go to Tail's part and explore around that area to show what happens. I would try to do it on mine, but my disk suddenly stopped working, so I can't play for a while :-(

Also, on the last speed pad in the speed run, you can just over that and cut about five to ten seconds off your time!

About 1 whole second if I had to say a length of time, but if you just focus on Tails and keep practicing the technique, you'll find that you are able to do it without using a time system.^_^

Correct. I also could've did it fast if I flew to the gate as Tails instead of hitting the switch and waiting for Sonic, but the challenge was to reach the goal in under 3 minutes while being allowed to use gems. I met the requirement without the use of gems. No doubt it could've been faster, but I did the challenge.^_^

That's because you're only supposed to hold the A (or X for PS3) button for a little bit, and then let go and Tails will slowly descend naturally until he goes too low - then you can start holding it again and he'll go back up a little.

The more you hold the A/X button, the more energy Tails uses to fly. But if you let go instead of using it all up, Tails will go down slower instead of falling directly into the water.
