Why did they over-produce the show? They dumped everything into it AND the kitchen sink AND jacuzzi. There is no tasteful discernment in its visual direction and it now looks like a cheap circus carnival, and the characters are so caricaturized and overly flamboyant. Westside Story is more believable and tastefully done.
yea she's not a great singer, but i don't think people really cared since everyone just loved her as a person and it didn't matter. lol She said before that doing broadway was so boring because she had to do the same thing everyday and I don't think she really liked it to much.
Sam Harris was the best part of this version,he did "Magic Changes" justice while most of the other songs were kinda bummed-in. I mean "Greased Lightning" just didn't have the exact bang that all the other versions have,plus I didn't care much for this version's "Beauty School Dropout".
