  • this should have way more views than it does

  • hes ok not the best but still good.

  • brb I just had an orgasm.

  • Who's watching this whilst sitting with a Stratocaster across their knee....?

  • Am I the only one who feels like if any of the younger generation asks who SRV was should be punched the fuck in the face and spit on ?

  • No one like Stevie NEVER!! We love you man!!! You may have passed away but your music will remain in our hearts!

  • 240p we met again ¬¬

  • The opening note of this song alone blows my mind. I loved his sound during this set. It was a bit sharp, yes, but his sustain was unbelievable.

  • most mind blowing tone ive heard..stevie ran so many different amp combos and was a pure tone junkie.hed change things around from show to show on occasion trying to see what he could pull from every inch of electronics he had but even he outdid himself on this set

  • this guy went down to the crossroads , bitch slap the fuck out of the devil, took his guitar and shove it up his ass...SRV took the devils soul like a boss.

    true story bro!!

  • TOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNE!

  • This guy bled licks :)

  • I don't think anyone will ever play like this again, i doubt it !

  • I could watch this for hours without moving out of my chair! He's my inspiration to play the guitar and I am sure for many millions of others.

  • @TheSpearsProductions ... IS BITCHIN' !!

  • god damn SRV was the fuckin man!

  • Watching Stevie play reminded me of Alladin and how he was the only one who could touch the lamp.

Stevie was the only one who could touch the guitar that way.

  • I just watched Jimmie play this song and they both have great styles although Stevie makes it look so much more effortless. Bith great musicians.. I sure hope I can make it to the Texas Theatre here in dallas to see Jimmie on the 9th.

  • if you watch every performance he has of this song they are all different and yet he somehow makes them all equally good!!! just amazes me that he could do a song every show, do it different and still have it ALWAYS blow me away!!!

  • Why people like SRV has to die, and people like Justin Bieber has to born?!

GOD you're a bit stupid xD

  • the KING of the guitfiddle'''.....nothin lke him ever before

  • parece tao facil p/ele! A guitar falava na mao de Stevie! Brazilian city of rock n roll is Curitiba! Motorocker and Blindagem!!

  • Red man

  • Cried like a baby when he crashed, Louisiana went into mourning, we drank some for him and played his music all night.....

  • when stevie plays from hes soul doesnt matter were you are from you can understand the music ....rest in peace my brotha

  • OMG this is a sweet ass clip.

  • SRV lives in hearts of everyone that his music touches! I'm so happy that he is recognized as the greatest, because he truly was! He played even in sleep and now ge continues to play in our hearts even in death!

    R.I.P Stevie

  • i could listen to srv 24/7

  • Where this is been all my life

  • how can you just not enjoy every second of this!!!!???? i sure do

  • I used to be so anti-treble... But now that I listen to him more often, I can't help but turn the treble wayyy up.

  • Godam, I say, Godam!!

  • Nothin feels quite as good on guitar as the blues.

  • who on earth would dislike this video. my goodness.

  • on a side note.... i love his voice, i wish i could sing like that.

  • I like to think that one day Stevie Ray Vaughan will have a second coming when the world is actually ready to endure his awesomeness.

  • I've been playing for 7 years...6 months of blues on the fender.still can't get stevies grove and tone.he's definently the best

  • Greatness, SRV on his best.

  • Metal is the bastard son of the blues, you can't call yourself a true metalhead if you don't "get" blues, this shit is a primer for how to play guitar...

  • gotta luv the blues especially by stevie ;)

  • Metal is mind-awakening but "BLUES is SOUL-AWAKENING".........

    Blues for life...!!!

  • Holy fuck that is now my favorite version of texas flood..

  • Whew, I came here Vai, Satriani, Holdsworth and bullshit like that. I check with them every now and then to see if maybe it's ME that doesn't get them.......nope, it's not. SRV is where I belong and don't give a fuck if you agree, disagree, or get mad.

    Stevie IS the one.

  • Best version of texas flood ever!

  • truely shocking man nobody can ever touch that ever unreal

  • Stevie didn't play music or the blues, he LIVED his music AND the blues!

  • damn thats some thick tone!

  • HOW THE FUCK DO PEOPLE DISLIKE THIS???

  • @OTISENGLISH They dislike it because they have no souls, and had never experienced adversity that changes people through and through. those dislikes are probably not real Americans anyway...

  • Stevie's guitar talked to my soul !!!

  • whow ehh blues forever!! PEACE FROM BRAZIL

  • best fuckin version

  • sheeeeeeesh..he meant that shit!..wow

  • one of the best versions of texas flood. second only to the el mocambo version, imho.

  • I bet when Stevie got a cut his blood looked like this, ♪♫♪♫♪♫

    xD

  • STEVIE THE MAN!!! :)

  • nobody ! and i mean nobody ! can touch this !!!!!!!!!!!! rip stevie

  • i love how this type of blues is played:

you play some awesome lick, and then let go of your guitar and sing your vocal chords out!!!!!!!!

  • HAMILTONE GUITAR, THE BEST MADE GUITARS IN THE BUSINESS.

  • somebody slipped that cat some neckbones, collard greens & chitlins.... so much SOUL !!!!!! GOTTDAMMMM A guitar master

  • My brother who is 5 years older would play blues records and say I need to stop listening to that A M crap then 1 day in the early 80s he and I were hanging out in in his O D green 72 Chevy nova swigging Thunderbird I asked if he heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan and without looking at me nodded no so i popped in a cassette tape of Texas flood into the player and after a few seconds he turned to me and said "little bro you know your blues" n i said no just know a good guitar player when i hear one!

  • I would have liked to see him once at least .... rest in peace lord of the blues!

  • SRV was, is, and ALWAYS WILL be the BEST! He felt every note of every song he played! May he Rest In Peace!

  • OF ALL HIS SONGS THIS IS STILL MY FAVORITE. IT WAS TH FIRST 1 I HEARD AN U NEVER FORGET YO FIRST. CAN I GET A AMEN MY BROTHER.

  • i love how he is in tokyo and nobody barely speaks english, but everyone can understand the language of music.

  • @STREETRACEN4U you realise how ironic 'nobody barely speaks english,' makes your statement?

  • @STREETRACEN4U nobody barely speaks english? the fuck?

first of, you think that japs are retarded? second, do you "nobody barely speak english"?

    lol

    peace

  • @OMERTA011 ohh calm down, i wrote that at 3 AM. just stfu and enjoy the music

  • @STREETRACEN4U next time dont write in 3 am and nobody will troll you lol

    peace

  • @OMERTA011 lmao i write at 3am alot actually! hah havent gotten any better at it! im always fallin asleep over the keys!

  • @OMERTA011 also i never called anyone "Retarded" idk where your hearin all this from but not from me...

  • "WELL FLOOD WATERS KEEP A RO-RO-RO-ROLLING"

yes! I love it, Stevie is badass!

  • SRV gave the definition of blues in 10 min.

  • 4 personas les guta justin bieber

  • 4 people need to die in a flood...

  • You can hear how much he was influenced by Albert King. That entire

half step/whole step bend thing really reminds me of 'Born under a bad sign'

  • RIP SRV

  • Hey must have really freaked out those Japanese. "Big T-man" in little country.....hahahahah

  • Respect.

  • I just went from metal to blues. :P

  • @Songwriter4God same here, im a blues neophyte lol

  • @Songwriter4God Yeah!!! METAL IS THE BEST MUSIC GENRE EVER!! And Blues is amazing as well!

  • @Songwriter4God Blues is metal without the coating of speed and complexity, revealing it's true mood and power.

  • @jumpinjoe88 true...There is no too much feelings in metal music.....like in blues.

  • @Songwriter4God - well, the best thing you've done so far....musically speaking of course. Have great fun!

  • @Mamertum345 I actually meant to say I went from watching metal to blues But yes, blues is awesome! It's good for a guitarist to play metal and then blues too, expands your styles more.

  • @Songwriter4God I've always been both

  • Comment removed

  • @Songwriter4God same happened to me... XDDD who would say that 4 years ago, when i was an angry and confused teen XD

  • @eLLAMUSic5 :P Yeah, blues rocks. People don't understand I actually meant to say I went from watching a metal video to this. :P RIP SRV one of the greatest guitarists EVER.

  • @Songwriter4God haha okkk XD next time you should be more specific... but anyways funny ;)

  • @eLLAMUSic5 Well, I did go from being a big metal kind of guy to being a blues fan too when I FIRST heard SRV. :P

  • @Songwriter4God that makes two of us...still love to listen to and play metal but man the blues that stevie put out were just NUTS!!!!

  • fucking bad ass and one of a kind

  • an audio Jedi, Master of the force is clear to the eye

  • Am I the only one who got chills up his and spine and almost started crying due to the beauty of this performance? This was a spiritual experience! I LOVE the El Mocambo performance, and this looks to be another out-of-body experience for Stevie!

  • 4 people likes Justin Bieber....

    SRV Rocks!

  • @ESPdesignESP Why everybody talks about Justin Bieber?, can't you listen to the music and forget about that kid?!

  • how can millions view a Justin Bieber video but only 81,000 view this masterpiece of a performance by an eternal musical legend? We are all doomed! SRV was bare bones and brilliant, I truly regret never getting to see him perform. With the possible exception of a young B.B. King or Hubert Sumlin, no one played with more emotion

  • @ronprenzel In 20 years.nobody will even remember.JB.much less acknowledge the fact that they ever liked him..it makes me want to puke when they talk about how "Talented" he "Justin " is. JB is a fad..the problem is that "Old School" SRV fans..dont give a shit about "Youtube" .SRV wasn't cute, or built like a brick shit house for eye candy...SRV did one thing in this world. And that one thing has changed the lives of millions past , present , and the future.....LONG LIVE SRV!

  • 07:46 once he goes behind his back you can see how big his dick is!

Ain't nobody never ain't played no guitar without the proper 'quipment!

What a treasure SRV was, best damn guitar sound since hendrix, and more melodic maybe? Anyway, if there were a god (which their ain't best as I believe anyhow), i'd ask him to bless Stevie all the way to a place called heaven (which don't exist).

    x

  • you know you must be amazing if something as small as youre guitar strap has taken on a life of its own!

  • I'll never get tired of seeing and hearing you play. Nobody will like you. Never. I love the way you play guitar. You are eternal.

  • SRV the world is a better place because it once new you but its a sad place with out you. when i get to heaven the first thing i wanna do after i see my papa is sit front row at the never ending srv blues concert. i cant imagine what it would be like to see stevie live im sure the youtube vids. dont beging to do him justice

  • To the 4 people who didn't like this:

    F**ck you!

  • Spooky!

  • I love this man, his music always puts me in a better mood, :)

  • wow...chuck norris shaved himself!

  • R.I.P. Stevie

Hope you play blues in heaven

  • DIOS PAGANO DE LA GUITARRA 'BLUESERA' !!!

    MAESTRO !!!

  • i dont see what white people have to sing the blues back then what were they sad about they didnt have enough slaves but he is great one of the best

  • @daedae0405 Slaves?.........Buawhahahaha! What slaves? if you know of any lemme know! Slaves....Jeezus!

  • @daedae0405 your just sad because you know he has more soul than anyone could ever have

  • @daedae0405 White people aren't the only ones capable of being racist.

  • @daedae0405 Anyone, as long as they are prone to life's conquest and its tribulations, is capable of having the blues, and expressing them an any classical or modern form of blues music. You're a fuckhead with an opinion that should have been aborted.

  • @daedae0405 Really? All I hear about is black people complaining about slavery that happened to a relative they never met. Fuck, the Holocaust was at least in the 20th century and you dont hear them bitching and whining about being mass exocuted!

  • @BboyTurnno bb king is the king of blues, he is the god of blues.

  • WHAT A SOUND!!!!!!!!

  • i was 300!

  • I like Stevie but come on, this is an awful performance, like cats being skinned alive.

  • @ibeyoutu

Are you serious? - cant find the sarcasm tag....

  • @ibeyoutu its not bad at all especially as bad as you say. What you might have been hearing or lack of shall I say is during most of the first half of his solo, the bass volume dropped put due to technical difficultie, even stevie and the bass player acknoledge this at 4:00 then the sound man corrects this at the beg. of the solo when it gets quiet. This version kicks ass dude. nuff said!

  • This motherfucker is playin' with at least 2 copies of his resume! hehehe

  • damn, some really famous guitarists can't play nearly as half as good as he did with his guitar behind his back !!

R.I.P Stevie, you were one of a kind.

  • @BboyTurnno think you find thats jack white actually.

  • Feeling.

  • they should release a dvd of this footage. This is the crazy stuff where SRV came out on stage just like how Albert King used to, with a pipe and all that. This is getting near the height of all his drug abuse, but his tone and performance is so insanely good.

  • 3 guys have to die or to learn to listen

  • or because they dont what the hell TEXAS is.

  • Hey, the people that hated this can-can-can-can just stick Justin Bieber up there A**

  • Only 60.000 views? Where's the world going?

  • @Rumplestiltskin7 I know im surprised that stevie is known as a blues master in the guitar community really.

  • @Rumplestiltskin7 ,,,not listening to real music apparently

  • .14 or .13 gauge? Anyway, hard work to bend those strings like SRV does..

  • @HereandThereWeGo tune a half step down and you're good to go. that is. if you're. not. a. little. pussy.

  • @OpakeArawra2 Surprised you can count to 13, jackass..

  • Yes...that`s the sound of a set strings up from 0.14!

  • Amen Woodstock69 5:47 to 5:58. BRING IT Stevie!!!

  • Amen Woodstock69 5:47 to 5:48. BRING IT Stevie!

  • 2 "humans" are stupid

  • besides being god, he could wear anything with style......... r.i.p./SRV

  • WOW...I sure miss him. He had the most amazing tone....ever...EVER!!!!!

  • @FreddysFrets yea,too bad Stevie is gone.It seems like all the great pioneers in rock guitar die b4 their time.RobertJohnson,StevieRay,Jimi,RandyRhoads.And the great ones that stay alive all end up hampering their production with too much drugs and booze like JimmyPage,VanHalen and countless others of course.BtW nice job you did replacing a fret on my Epiphone, its still there.lol.(jus playin`)

  • How I wish he was still alive so that I may see him perform.

  • @totalwarotaku oh, me too!!!

  • damn technical crap messing up his bass :/ Stevie kept going strong because he knows the show must go on!

  • @Zaspor I know! I just loved that!!!

  • 2 people have no live.

  • best that ever lived

  • Comment removed

  • No, He uses Dumble Amps.

  • geile sau :)

  • I just cannot believe this Tone!

At least 1000 of the views for this video are because of me.....

and his TONE gets more unbelievable with every view!

    Wicked....

  • amazing, i wonder what happened to Tommy at like 2 minutes, his bass went all quite haha

  • SRV plays on Fender amps ?

  • @Almak47 He did use Fender amps yes, but also others - such as Marshall. I don't know what amp he's using in this video, sorry.

  • This is so awesome.

  • It's kinda like BB King said.."the music flows through Stevie"...

  • @hdvegas1 that was eric clapton BB may have said it as well but EC i know has been quoted as saying that

  • @hdvegas1 BB King said this to Stevie Wonder

  • @hdvegas1 pls quote bb king right

  • 5:50 i miss him the sustanier system :)

  • No one has played like Stevie before or since. I'm at a loss for words to describe what an amazing musician he was. I'm so glad that he got sober before he died. Stevie once said: "My worst day sober is better than my best day on drugs." Amen Stevie. R.I.P.

  • flows like honey...

  • stevie had a great ear for tone , he really digs into this one, as always

  • Makes me damn proud to be a Strat player.

    RIP Stevie. 20 years tomorrow.

  • He's SUPER relexed in this clip!

  • still great. seen SRV 2 times. I was blowed away 2 times. rip

  • I wonder if they know thats an American made guitar.
