i would recommend a little putty in the front of the cardboard to eliminate the cardboard look. I think that simple lightweight spackle would work without warping the board. You would only need a tiny amount then simply sand it and paint, it has the side effect of giving it a rough texture. Just my two cents
very nice could add sand on the cardbord to cover it up matching with their bases other than that the rubble and the whole thing is great nothing i would ever come up with (time to chop up some sprews =))
