This is great! I loved Kempo... I did Kempo and now I'm in MMA doing BJJ and MuayThai, it's fun... But there's a guy at the MMA gym who teaches Aikido, I did my first class last thursday. Oh man it was cool, the wrist locks reminded me of my Kempo. MMA has been a cool, rather painful experience. It's fun and I like the hardcore of actually fighting full out. And I've gotten very good at Jujitsu ground fighting, but I miss Kempo... I think it's more fun.
I am not a practioner of Chinese Kenpo , but I can see excellence in the teachings of the Master . Good explanations of the principles and techniques ... Keep up the good work !!!!
@sifurey Chinese Kenpo designates a kenpo system that has returned to a style utilizing more of the original chinese boxing systems where kenpo was derived from. Some kenpo systems maintain a more Japanese influence with straight linear attacks/defenses similiar to karate where Chinese Kenpo uses both linear and circular techniques merging kenpo with Chinese boxing hence the name.
@sifurey Kenpo is the Japanese "On" pronunciation of Chinese "chuan fa" (Mandarin) written Kanji. When written separately Ken Ho. ie. Kwon Bop (Korean) loosely meaning the law of the fist. There are many misconceptions of the "English" translations of ancient MA. For instance "Kara-te" in old Okinawan "Kun" pronunciation translates to Chinese hand. Tang Su (Korean). Big example Tae Kwon Do is not Karate, but why do most TKD store fronts put "Karate" on their signs?
Your reply to @sifurey was very good. The Okinawans changed the kanji漢字 for Karate唐手 in the late 1920s early 1930s to Japanize their art. So they changed it from karate唐手(T`ang/China Hand) to Karate空手 the empty hand. Okinawa had only been a Japanese prefecture/県 since 1879. This change of kanji would help open the doors for the art to be taught in mainland Japan. And yes, 拳法 Ken(m)po is the On音 in Japanese. Thank you for your time. Osuおす
como se llama el maestro de kung fu es muy rapido practico indecifrafle el movimiento que usa en ataque y defenza mucho mejor y mas rapido que el karate.
@teamcharlieisthebest I'm pretty sure you can't wear a cup on your neck, chin, or solarplex. Also, a cup only helps so much. If you get punched or kicked in the dick it's still going to hurt. Just saying.
i am a student of parker kenpo. its roots are in this style and it shows. your movements and stances are fluid and powerfull. great videos. Full Salute. thank you Sir!
Real gung fu. This guy is probably the best I have seen to date. I know this is the real thing because Ive trained in Chan Gung Fu (Monastery) and with Shing Xyu from China.
Its funny though, the best out there and least viewed. Kind of like finding a diamond.
Not like this master needs to be adored by men, just saying... Really really good.
@edgetak Thank you sir for the kind words. Yes I dont advertize. I show this only for those who find interest in it as you. Again you are most kind and I thank you . Maybe you can let others kow of us if you like it. Bless YOu

I want to like Kenpo but it just seems like too many moves, JKD or Krav Maga are way more direct.
