I loved Robert with Kate because she didn't turn into a clingy female once they got together. She never allowed her life to become all about Robert and his issues. She was strong and in the end when she saw that Robert could not give her what she deserved she walked away, which in my opinion was her strongest moment on the show.
I like Katherine and I thought that this was a good ending to their relationship, However, I always beleive that Robert and Anna belong together because of Robin and their history along was to powerful to over look. Holly, Kate, or Cheryl could not complete with that because Anna was always the one thing between them in their relationship with Robert.
Nothing wrong with Kate, she was an awesome women high class for sure. But the one thing I will say is Robert always wanted someone like Anna who was closer to his level in life. Kate was a star, way to much popularity for Robert he would of hated the spot light long term.
I can't thank you enough for posting this. Kate and Robert were always my favorites and I really like Edie Lehmann Boddicker. I had some of my favorite clips on a VCR tape from years ago, but having the entire storyline available to download is great. Thanks again.

Feck I cannot thank you enough for the last year and a half. When I first checkling out you tube I had always hoped someone would post R/K clips. Never in my wildest imagination did I get to think that I would get to see the whole story from start to finish. You are totally awesome for sticking with this story line and keeping it going for everyone. Thanks also to everyone with all of their colourful posts that added to the reliving the best couple on GH. (IMHO)
One last wise crack: When did Sean officially become apart of the shoe polish hair dye club for men? Did Robert sign him up? Does Robert get a free bonus dying for signing up a friend?
Here's a question: Whatever became of Delafield's? Did it go on, unseen, with Mary and Angel running it, and Kate too, whenever she was in town, all unseen by GH viewers? I know it was still on the canvas for awhile after EL left, I just don't know what became of it after awhile. Did it become Mac's Outback restaurant, or was that a different place?

I've been skimming youtube to see what happened with R/A and saw the Valentine's epis, would've been wrong, them in Katie's place (which used to be Duke's place). Eek, the ghosts. Wonder which Duke face would haunt them....
@Sueb91 Sue, you're braver than me. Every time I try to watch Valentine's Day 1991, it all seems so wrong, and I have to stop watching. Part of me gets angry that GM obliterated the last vestiges of Katie with an earthquake, and the other part is relieved that R & A were forced to take their romance elsewhere and away from the sanctity that was R & K. But ultimately, GM got her wish, and Katie was vanquished so that R & A could flourish. Am I bitter? You bet!
Let me just add, in my frustration, that in the last eight weeks of K & R, Katherine was MIA for two weeks, and Robert was MIA for one week, which just happened to be the week prior to the breakup, leaving their reunion a big bust. Couldn't they have done something about that? EL was leaving for good, so why did she need a two week break? And couldn't TR wait a few weeks before he got his time off? Grrrrrrr....
In TOTAL agreement. I just take solace that we'll always have DC (make me...) and a few stolen moments at the penthouse - charming, sexy, flirty - back to the glory days pre-Faison.
I love Robert's comment when Sean says he should go back to Kate. "Because I can't," he says, but you think he's going to say, "because the writers say I can't."
I second dlwoods7 - We appreciate *all* the time spent to upload all these clips! At least they let Edie leave with some dignity and didn't kill her in a car accident. Except that would be a sign she could return, because daytime likes to resurrect dead people from "fatal" auto accidents!
It's nearly 22 years later and I'm still bitter about how they ended Robert and Katherine's relationship.
