Nice video Chris! If yu follow this line northeast of Lafayette a little ways, there is the town of Delphi, IN. There is a McDonalds that sits about 100 Ft from the tracks in Delphi and I love to go there. Great place to keep cool, fed well and enjoy the traffic on this line. It's off of highway 25 just before you get into downtown Delphi. If you follow 25 out of Delphi, it parallels this line into Logansport, IN with some great photo ops. Good Luck. Dave
Last time I was up there was several years ago before the CONRAIL merger; but they NS was running between 20 to 30 trains daily on Sunday therough Thursday and about half that number on Fridays and Saturdays. With the recent economy, and with the merger, that number most likely has changed. Pre-merger CSX would put 10 or so trains through per day and of course AMTRAK has two per day passing through. The bridge Chris shot his video from is a great location to film all three in action.
