no words to describe my ecstacy on hearing this song and viewing the performer on video. It is a great work - the great CSJeyaraman and TS Bhagavathi at their best. Simply out of the world.
I'm heartened to see fellow human beings in this thread. As a fatherless +1 boy living under the tutilage and support of my brother, I used to lie flat, switch off lights and fan, and melt under this song and the other one from noolveli 'Mounathil vilayadum manasatchiye'. Meloncholy! I now realise, compared to my breathren in srilanka my pains were imaginary pleasures. Yet, if it can move a non-tamil... Music is great!
@MrShaqtee : hmm, yes harikamboji. There was a mix up in my post which I didn't notice for long. Thanks for bringing to my notice. Rest of the data is correct.
I remember seeing this film when I was a young boy and the impression stays in my mind even now as an old man. Love this song and I praise the composer and the singer. Thanks.

Unforgettable Haunting melody. What a composition? To listen to such songs today is like taking a dip in an oasis in a desert. Thanks for sharing this song. And the magic of CS is ever-lasting. And TK Bhagavathy as Ravanan is brilliant. Overall a treat for connoisseur of fine music.
