Watched the movie after hearing that the Silent Hill-creators found it to be a major inspiration for their games. And I can understand why! It's amazing! : )
This movie, in my opinion, was pretty bad. Plot holes and unecessary twists ruined the experience for me and my cousins who watched it with me. Though we laughed our asses of when Caruso says, "Hey... FUCK YOU". That part was good.
@jfoley715 There aren't any plot holes or unnecessary twists. Also, you shouldn't watch this film with other people; turn of ALL the lights and crank the sound. Too bad you did it the wrong way...
The first time I actually watched this movie I didn't care much for it, but it doesn't help that you have to be in a good mood to watch this which I wasn't at the time. It is actually a good movie though, just really slow paced.
Wrong, the first game is not based on this game. Yes the third game does reference the chair in Session 9 but the original Silent Hill game was not based on it.
I had actually been wondering whether you got around to watching the movie after your first comment - so good to know you found it. :o)
And glad to hear that you weren't disappointed in the movie after watching this video (never sure whether the scenes I pick make a movie look different from what it's actually like or maybe give away something that you shouldn't know prior to having seen it).
Ya the song really compliments a masterpiece of story telling. And for everyone who wants to see it but cannot seem to find a copy? Apparently someone uploaded the entire movie in parts (sessions hehe cool right?) here on you tube so you can see all of it =) BUT buy it when you find it! this movie should be supported 100%... Unlike all that gore and hostel like crap we have to deal with no a days ..
This is a great video! Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to watch the movie yet - still trying to find it, but as one having an appreciation for old buildings and horror, and an interest in psychological problems, I think it'll be great. Hope I can find it soon!
I'm one of many who quite like this song. I think you did a really good job picking images to go with it---more and more ominous as the song got heavier and heavier, and showcasing the beautiful building all the while!
There's a similar abandoned asylum at the edge of my town, but very sadly they're in the process of tearing it down right now. :(
That's a shame that the State Lunatic Hospital at Danvers was demolished (in real life). It was an enormous architechtural masterpiece. Some people just don't have an appreciation for old buildings.
I actually found it online after spending hours searching via Google - didn't bookmark the website, though (otherwise I would let you know where I got it from)... :o))

The BEST Session 9 video I have seen on youtube.
Great job, everything went together perfectly and the tension really built up near the end. Also thanks for not including any spoilers,
Danvers was such an incredible piece of architecture, and this video showcases some great scenes from the film.
Great vid!

Very disturbing, the scariest part is when the lights start going off.
The whole movie is a pure psychological terror.
Good video!

Agreed re: this song. Its like a ghost. Cant find any official reference to it anywhere.
Does it exist on any album anywhere? Im guessing people who have it are cutting it from other media?
