  • What a kick

  • 人間はここまで出来るんだ 可能なんだ

    こんなこと出来るんですね すごい verygoodakusyonn and anbibabou

  • This video went viral on Paramaribo

  • Im fan of Bekele too,but I think that Haile was always better.

  • wow according to Steve Cram Haile has run sub 25min 0:50-0:55 :)

  • @lekkainc Damn. The WR even Geb himself doesn't know about!

  • @LMaster1 In all seriousness though I'm fairly certain he is referring to a closing 200m in 25 seconds.

  • Haile isn't even dissapointed a bit to be second. I respect this man, he's a real sportsman.

  • no dislike this is just incredible, two of the best runner!

  • Haile is still the king in my eyes

  • Your video is a favorite on Kenya

  • Wow. their form is almost identical xD I guess thats why they're both so good.

  • Somebody had to take over the reign, but Haile will always be the one... long live the king!

  • These are the best of the best. They both are winners, but Bekele is the new king.

  • we kenyans are bored...you mean you ethipians 'cunt' produce a worthy challenger in 2011...going to 2012... this running is getting boring...always kenya won this...kenya broke this....(in records)... we might have to find another worthy long term challenger.....too bad morocco is dead.......

  • Even if the closing scenes in this video lack a little drama, this was , in my mind, to date the greatest 10,000m race at a major championship. After going through 5000m in 13:52, Gebreselassie began a long run for home and tried valiantly to break Bekele. Hard to believe that 12:58 second half wasn't enough!

  • @runningshoe1 Geb-Tergat in Sydney in 2000 is pretty damn good too.

  • Let me finish the announcers sentence.

"A 1,2,3 for the greatest running nation on the planet ."

  • And 1, 2, 3 for the greatest running nation on___..

  • "they've both got speed, They've both got super speed"

  • Gabrselassie would be the first to congratulate him. Two amazing runners.

  • Screw the runners, the quality is outstanding.

  • Two super human runners. So good when we can see two greats at the same time.

  • 1.-the king guerrouj forever ok bekele number 2 ok the master the 2 gebreselassie ok english

  • you can really see at 1:05 bekele starts a great sorint, pumping his arms so fast compared to Haile's

  • wow what a surprise, bekele doesnt take the lead at all until the last lap

  • I love rare races like this where the symbolic torch is handed to the new and future champion! Hope bekele is bk for next year! :D

  • Just 2 of many Ethiopian Heros!!

  • Kenenisa last 100m really fast!

I can't agree he had ran 9900m before last 100m!

  • It's amazing how "slow" the other competitors look, when those two are lapping them in the last 400 meters. Still the "slow guys" are running under 28 minutes, just unbelievable!! Bekele and Haile, they are the best two athletes ever in any sport, that's my opinion.

  • @mies016 I agree

  • @mies016

the two best runners of all-time, perhaps, but not the two best sportsmen of all-time. that's getting carried away. roger federer, lance armstrong, lionel messi, michael jordan, were or are also some of the true greats in sport seen in general.

  • @dsdan83 Not exactly sure what makes a Lance Armstrong or a Roger Federer be any "greater" as athletes than Haile Gebreselassie. Numerous olympic and world championship gold medals, many major marathon wins, and 26 world records!

I'm not going to say Haile was a greater athlete than any of the men you have listed because it's crazy subjective to say: Haile > Federer or Jordan > Armstrong; however, I don't have any idea what criteria of yours Geb isn't fitting to be a best athlete of all time.

  • @LMaster1

Perhaps your mental abilities are quite limited if u can not even grasp my fundamental form of logic. 1stly, where do I suggest that Lance & Roger are superior athletes to Haile. Read b4 u utter in rebuttal. For Haile's hall of distinction is extremely impressive, equal so is the CV of said athletes in their respective sport. Nor I nor u would able to conceive a proper & fair yardstick which convincingly defines who is the greatest.. W/out a shred of doubt they are all equally great.

  • this is my 1500m pace, in credible

  • what do these ethiopians eat?

  • @dircyusuf1977 lion meat and elephant tusk.

  • @TheJoeBargo hahaahhaahaha they just keep runin

  • 0:56 - 1:03.... EPIC camera work, stride for stride

  • @tylandal perfectly synchronized!

  • @eljafigo all except for their form. Gebreselassie has perfect forefoot-strike form, and Bekele is a heel-striker. You can see the difference when they land, Haile's ankles absorb shock then rebound like springs, Bekele's roll forward and his ankles don't pronate at all.

  • @tylandal It sounds like the clapping is in beat with there strides... it's sickk

  • @SirTrollish He wasn't happy when he lost the NYC marathon.

  • Remember the race quite well.

  • Kenenisa should say thanks for hail!! He helped him to win coz hail was like pacemaker he killed himself to win kenenisa. if hail selfish he would stay behind just like kenenisa did it

  • @nuckinfuts32330 Teehee...all those thousands of athletes with the munchies and officials handing out bags of sweets. Queen having a toke ..."I say Phillip, these Olympics just get better and better!!" Now theres a vision for a better world.World records would be safe for a very long time!

  • @nuckinfuts32330 Yeah, any event where you need to use hands would have to go. Marathon would be cool.Instead of tables with water you'd have rasta weirdoes rolling like crazy and huge vats of bubbling oil to cook the chips! Mind, the chances of anyone doing 26 miles is minimal! I think we're onto something here...I'll split 50-50 with ya....just gotta get the BBC interested.:)

  • @nuckinfuts32330 I reckon there's enough interest for a Special Joint and Bag of Chips Olympics? Swimming events would be messy,though....

  • @nuckinfuts32330 sorry i meant I couldnt do it after 9000miles!! lol my 400m time is like 57 or 58s!!

  • Distance running at this level stops being a sport and becomes art.

  • @fahim113 Exactly right

  • Bekele might be the fastest, but Gebrselassie is the greates. Ever.

  • @RonMeijers if Bekele is faster, how can Gebrselassie be the greatest? Haile G is the king of the marathon, but when it comes to the 10 & 5, we all know who the king is.

  • @HeWhoBearsTheMark666 Simple, 'faster' doesn't necessarily mean 'greater. Or would you dare to say that Donovan Bailey is a greater sprinter than Carl Lewis was? He was 0,02 seconds faster, so ...

  • @RonMeijers im sorry, but what do you think the sport of running is about? it's all about timing, it's all about speed, i.e. who is the fastest...it's a race. Don't get me wrong Haile G is a great runner, but his race is the marathon. Every runner has their race, the distance that they excel in. Haile G is the marathon man, Bekele's race is the 10k and 5k. Carl Lewis and Donovan Bailey were a great sprinters.....but Usain Bolt would kill them now and then. it's all about speed and timing

  • Amazing men!! they run the last 400m in less than 1minutes, my own time but i could do it after 9600m

  • @raoulhery Bekele ran a 55

  • Abebe bikila was one of the best marathon runner from Ethiopia as well broke records running bare foot back in 1960s. This is not him. this is Kenenisa Bekele.

  • Our heroe's proud of u all the time...Keep 123

  • last 200m in under 26sec

    last 100m in 11,5sec

  • damn! i remember this night..i dance with my dad be desta:>)

  • the emperor vs the king

  • Comment removed

  • this almost makes me cry

  • ITS BEK (ay lay) not bikila!!! its abebe bikila not keninisa bikila

  • @azur10 Humble apologies if I got it wrong, but that's what his own website calls him.....

  • @ARRISIPPY lol you're all good man. i was commenting at the announcer who is badly mispronouncing his name. he's calling him bikila (which is abebe bikila) you spelled his name correctly.

  • @ARRISIPPY You probably have two different runners confused. There's one runner named Abebe Bikila, but that's not who this is. The commentator is saying Bikila, but he's wrong. This is Bekele.

  • @azur10 and its not keninisa it is kenenisa !!!!!!

  • Great video quality! Always good watching Bekele and his perfect form on a clear video =)

  • AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOMEEEE!!!!!! This is the first time I see Haile run against Bekele!
