Sylar can fly, He used his Empathic Mimicry well they were fighting and flying. That's why he floated down after he threw nathan into the room again.

Sylar's original ability is empathic mimicry. He absorbed intuitive aptitude from his father at a young age (when he saw his mother murdered). He also absorbed telekinesis through empathy (according to the writers). This the reason why he only retained those abilities after recovering from the shanti virus. the abilities absorbed through intuitive aptitude were lost entirely.

incorrect. He began with intuitive aptitude--the horrible volume 3 explained that it is a branch of mimicry and he just requires empathy. Sylar originally got telekinesis from a man listed in Chandra's work--hence the scene where he knocks the guy over the head to investigate him, stating that he's "broken".

He couldn't retain the illusion power because he didn't get it via his ability, the question is though how did he stalk claire in the kitchen in volume 3 if he didn't have this powers? lol

agreed, but yes volume 3 did give him the ability to mimic however i think with his empathy he would have to understand someone like him...fat chance he could find one, plus is usual method is more effective--makes him more special since he is the only one.

Just forget about mimicry, you'll live better for it and yes i agree it was his telekinesis...it did look like he trying to steady himself as he approached the balcony

how can Sylar play as Nathan when he can't fly? He can levitate with TK but he can't actually FLY right? cuz he just straight up killed Nathan he didn't take his ability....so yeah wtf are they gonna do i mean if "Nathan" realizes he can't fly but he has a whole bunch of other abilities isn't he gonna realize something is up? a part from the hunger and stuff of course

The reason why they turned sylar into nethan is because sylar had the ability to get informations: every items that he touches he could see its history, so by touching nethan's stuff he could get to know his memory and history. I was dissapointed a bit about the new volume if Sylar was so powerful , where the hell was the haitien all that time?

from what i have been able to work out volume 5 will show those with abilities having revenge. Then of course you go back to the idea of being a hero. Angela's flashbacks will continue with the start of the company. I think that they are going to bring in a villain or a bunch of villains that are unrelated to the generations which is where every villain has come from (except perhaps danko--but his effect wore off after they made him more human with that girl)

Tracy is going on a killing spree to kill all Building 26 members; that means Noah and Danko too. Peter took all of the powers(does he have the hunger?). Brian Fuller said that Tracy would come back as a more kind and warm-hearted character. The ending was good; but could've been better.

This time it was more "save yourselfs" - Although it kind of saved the world too - Sylar as President wouldn't be too awesome.

Anyway, I'm confused as to how Sylar has Doyles ability, he didnt kill him (from what I could tell he was still alive) - and I doubt he used empathic mimicry being as hes totally evil (yeah he used it when he was with Elle, but he wasn't as evil back then)

If I remember correctly, Sylar CAN absorbs people abilities without killing them (that is IF he wanted to for a purpose) as shown when he absorbs the shapeshifter dude without slicing him.

The reason why he absorbs Doyle (puppet dude) power without slicing him is because he wanted to give Doyle as a present to that dude in charge of building 26, so he can get his trust and work with him.

peter only took one power becuase when he was hurt he didnt heal, if he did take all sylars powers he would have healed, peter can only hold one power at a time, I think he is now a lame character he went from being a god to what he is now.

The show is being set up to make the future in Five Years Gone come true. Sythan will become president, but realise he's really Sylar. Peter will get his abilities back so they can have the fight in the hallway. Remember "When I killed Nathan he'd already turned on his own kind"? Hiro will get his powers back too, and it involves the formula (that's what Ando "killed" him over).

The ending was kind of weak but i did like the little twist with the clock...On the episode "I AM SYLAR" Danko said keep something that reminds you of who you are because of the problems he had with not knowing who he was on that episode...anyways I thinks next season Sylar will become close to Nathan's family but slowly get memories back and eventually become sylar...plus Nathan/Sylar will realize that he has more powers through out the season like Peter on season 2.

i reckon the focus of next season will be those hunted having their revenge and striking back----these usually always end up leading into some kind of war and if this is so then i suppose tracy is going to be the first who is going to spur everything. She of course will be good but doing the wrong thing--i wonder if she'll try to kill nathan for setting all of it up? (just wait until she finds out he can't die)

She did wink, and a tear rolled down her face. However, if it was Barbara, she could use her water power to somehow resurrect Tracy from her melted state. Also, I believe you're thinking of Linderman healing Angela's brain after Arthur forced her memory so many times.

No, Sylar would be able to heal what matt did to him. because in season two when we first see peter, he doesn't know who he is or how to use any of his powers. we later find out that the hatian took his memory away, and somebody tells him that he could heal his mind if he wanted to, so then he did and teleported back to new york. i think sylar will have to realise that something about his life isn't right after he touches something that was really his.

i couldnt help but wonder why they didnt just kill sylar for good and then use claires blood to heal nathan, they've done it before. at least that way we wouldnt have to hear claire whine next season about sylar being her father since the secret will probably be let out.

The final "fight" sequence was non-existent!

It would have been cool to see Nathan push up Sylar into the sky and then let him drop.
