  • Great video! Thanks so much for showwing us this!

  • Crikey you wouldn't want to accidentally run into that or have a seed pod fall on your head. Would love to see the parrots if you get footage. Great seeing what other peoples neighbourhood flora and fauna is like. Cheers, Lesley

  • I'll try to get the parrots sometime. I did have a few seconds of them, but I don't know if I still have that footage... Anyhow, I'll try to get the parrots when they're in those trees.

  • Cool tree...I could use one...would love to try and spin the fibers/silk in the pods. I'm a spinner, mostly of sheep wool but some dog cat hair/undercoat, cotton. Pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I post a video of me spinning on one of my wheels. Very cool tree..dispite it's thorns. We have thorny locust trees that pop up everywhere and are very difficult to get rid of and the spikes on them are super strong and about six inches long

  • Well, when the pods burst, I'll try to gather some up and save it for you. They're very high up, so I can't just pick them...

  • Oops i forgot to post something else in my first comment...I was wondering if you are going to do anymore cookie decorating videos because those are very cool, and i would like to see more of them!

  • Are you subscribed to SignatureSweetShoppe channel? That's where I post those. I want to do a heart cookie one, but because it's raining so much right now, I don't have enough light to make a good video.

  • All right ill be sure to suscribe!

  • Wow that tree looks very scary and dangerous!

  • This is such a cool tree. I remember touching them when I was there--OUCHY, OUCHY!!!

  • I read that some are planted in the San Diego zoo - but well away from people.

  • I'm surprised the parrots don't use the silky stuff for nesting material! Interesting tree. I saw one in Florida!

  • I read that the hummingbirds will use the silk for nest material.

  • I'm glad you found the name. I am going to go read the wiki now.

  • I may be the only one in the neighborhood who knows!

  • That tree has issues like alot of people: prickly on the outside, but soft and fluffy (and a little seedy) on the inside. You certainly have exotic flora and fauna in your neck of the woods, alot more interesting than birch trees and pigeons, I must say!

  • Yeah, this tree is not for a tree-hugger. This tree has major issues and wants you to keep your distance. I know people like that!

  • Maybe you should buy those people a pet parrot hahaha

  • cool :)

    nice videeo

  • thanks for watching, Dash!

  • So Pretty! Sharon!
