The easter eggs in this series is that its a prequel to the first movie..... im a big fan of MK and i found that out a long time ago, all these episodes add up and tell the story to how each character got to the tournament in mortal kombat 1 movie. episode 1 and 2 with jax and sonya follows perfectly into the first mortal kombat movie same with johnny cage, sub and scorp. then MK 1 movie goes on telling Lui kangs story and the tournament begins.

But in the movie Sub and Scorp work together. I will agree that the two first episodes (Sonya and Jax) could be prequel to MK 1, but that does not fit with rest of show.

Another proof is, in Show Shang Sung talks to Cage about Tournament, in movie Raiden does.

Respond to this video... plus scorpion and subzero didnt really work together on MK 1 they were joined by shang sungs trick to make them his slaves, scorpion was still going to get his wish to kill subzero but only if he had won the tournament which he didnt cuz him and subzero both died in the tournament so that fight never happens, then conquest comes in and subzeros brother and scorpions brother meets eachother and are sent to kill eachother then in annihlation they meet again.
