Stop complaining about this music not being made "today". It happened when it did, and really if it were made today, you actually could like it less because it wouldn't have the added nostalgic value. It was recorded in the past and we can still hear it whenever we want. You don't have to listen to newer music for it to even bother you.
@FarleyTube= I lived in the Eighties, and I agree with you. Some of the music of today is okay. And if I don't like it, I don't play it. Some of the music from the Eighties did suck. However, I won't mention them here.
Spaceballs is real masterpiece - funny, interesting, intriguing and very entertaining. Visual effects were awesome too.This parody on Star Wars, Alien, Planet of Apes became my favorite spoof film (along with Galaxy Quest). Bill Pullman, Daphne Zuniga, John Candy, Mel Brooks, Rick Moranis and all others did a brilliant job. Too bad they didn't make a sequel. That-time Spoof films had nice jokes while our modern ones only can use strong language, black humour & sex. No originality these days
Few years ago the only place you could find this song was on Limewire, glad its here. One of the few tunes that truly captured the 1980´s spirit. Love it!
I always love the scene where this song plays, because it starts out with a shot of the spaceship exiting the planet. It gives that part like a random and awesome feeling. I remember watching this film for the first time on tv, without knowing the title or anything, and seeing this scene. I was like, where did this movie come from?
Anyone one here find Berlin's appearance on the soundtrack a little ironic, as Terri Nunn was one of the actresses under serious consideration for the part of Leia?
@Allronix Good point! Now that you mention it I remember seeing a clip from the auditions w. a Terri Nunn, though didn't somehow put the two together and realised it was infact the Terri Nunn of Berlin.
@yasco2601 I can identify. I went to see this at the movies on my 14th birthday and i just bought it on DVD for my nephew's 11th birthday. I never get sick of this movie.
I love this movie! I first watched this when I was still in diapers, but I still found it somewhat hilarious! I've been looking for this song forever. Thanks!
I didn't say the title of this video is Raise your Hands. Dellefin asked if anybody knows the title of the song in the background when Barf eats his oat meal or whatever it is. And I told Dellefin that that song was Raise your hands.
THIS SONG F***ING ROCKS

@TheAngelfire1= True. Hopefully, this decade will produce some decent music. I'm not holding my breath though.

@vigo894
Music back then compared today is OUTDATED. Kids nowadays prefer crap and s*** in one. Like Lady Gaga and Justine Beiber are good examples.
