  • if you take the time to search on youtube "romanian, bulgarian, greek, serbian and macedonian folklore" you will be amazed of the similarities , the colors are the same, the clothing is the same, the dances are the same and the music is the same, what ever historians say, (and historians say a lot about the balkans), one thing is sure, we all are one big thracian family!

  • Then tell me why Polish/Ukrainian folk is in some points similar? Especially the Hutsul dances. Thracians... come on.

    Verry nice show 5/5.

  • yes, the tracians, they enhabited all of eastern europe, the kingdom of burebista ( the greatest dacian king) had borders that extend today way beyond romania's borders in the east, well over today's city of odessa and in the north probably up to the middle of ukraine, , the city of cernauti (chernivsti) is only 36 km in ukranie territory but it was inhabited by romanians, it is not unfezable to consider that the territory inhabited by the tracians was less than that.

  • You`r forgeting how many things changed since that time and especially how many nations migrated along or into Balcans and whole central-eastern Europe. Speaking about concrete borders from that time is rather hard, with exception of the natural borders like Roman on the Danube and Rhine. Romanians aren`t direct descendants of the Thracians, thier language is Latin, Thracians spoke completly different language. Besides, there`s no clue about how the Thracian folk looked like.

  • Academic studies have concluded that Thracians had physical characteristics typical of Mediterraneans with dark eyes and hair. According to Dr. Beth Cohen, Thracians had "the same dark hair and the same facial features as the Greeks."[8] Furthermore, Dr. Aris N. Poulianos states that Thracians like modern Bulgarians belong mainly to the Aegean athropological type.

  • it is tru that we can't talk about solid border lines, but recent arheological findings in bulgaria have shown that the tracians where not the barbarians that we believed before, golden artfacts, tombs, and writings actually show a very developed civilization witch had the best knowlege of iron and gold working of the time, and this thracian golden age preceds the classical greek period and is contemporany with the old dinasties of egipt.

  • There is a large posibility that sutch a developed civilization even if it's golden age has passed and it slipped into a "small dark age" had retained it's main folcloric values and traditions , and as we know, usually a more developed civilization absorbes the later one, witch we could identify as being the migrator peoples of the time of the roman empire and later, as the bulgars, the slavs, avars, etc. so the similar tipes of folkloric traditions in eastern europe might be of thracian origin

  • Zaista neustaljen splet igara.
