I'm from Queensland Australia that has this major problem and it's so incredibly true. We are brought up killing cane toads. I have heard about the drinking of them, but we have used them for other 'recreational purposes' like seeing who can kill them in the most inventive way. A favourite is sticking a fire cracker up their behind and setting it off.
The other rule that all kids get told is to never touch them with bare hands due to their poison. Don't think Bill was told that.
