Make sure you remove your makeup thoroughly. You can use vaseline or baby oil to tissue off makeup. Then wash face with a good cleanser to remove dirt, makeup and oil. Then you can use an astringent or witch hazel to further remove all trace of makeup and residue. Then follow with a good moisturizer. Also every week or a few times weekly (depend on you skin type) use a deep pore face mask to make sure you are getting rid of all the dirt on the skin. Good luck

I am new to makeup and I am trying to stick with it. But I look at videos like your, and as hard as I try I can not get a "flawless" look. I have the right brushed, I use MAC prolongwear foundation. But you still see my large pores. What am I doing wrong?

@taloveme --- try using a pore minimizer moisturizer or using a primer underneath your foundation that helps to minimize pores..such as Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer (it's around $30.) or you can use the drugstore brand Revlon Smoothing Primer (around $8-$10 depending on the store) which also helps minimize the appearance of pores and makes your foundation last longer. You can also try the MAC primer (MAC prep+prime around $28) if you are die hard MAC lover.

@ccworldable Hey, I freelance for MAC. Getting matched at a counter/store can be a bit of a hassle & misunderstanding bc we can be very busy. If u're a shade or two lighter than her, I'd reccomend an NWorNC 43 and/or 45. NW stands for "warm" (reddish) undertones in your natural skin, while NC is "cool" (yellowish) undertones. Best place to match is on ur chest & testing on ur cheeks, etc. I advise using multiple shades as she does bc no person is actually 1 color! LOL Hope it helps! :)
