Anyway, these creature could also be zombies, I mean, there is not definition as to what is a zombie right? For example, Call of Duty zombies don't actually "eat" you, they only hit you, like these creatures shown here. I think we refer to zombies as any living creature that is supposed to be dead

@delta77mex However, in that case you could consider vampires "zombies" too right? but vampires drink blood and actually "think" so zombies could be defined as: "Creatures, originally humans, who came back to live after dying and are not conscious or able to think". Traditional zombies eat people but then COD Zombies would not be zombies... In some movies zombies smell their prey, in some others they only see... so that's the only definition I can think of that includes all kind of zombies.

Imo I'm scared of a lot of things but after playing countless zombie games I eventually just got desensitized to them which is why wasn't afraid of these guys, same goes for Uncharted 2.

I still prefer fighting mercs and bandits though, because the monsters remove the stealth element and suddenly the game becomes a third-person DOOM. I usually tried to avoid most conflicts using stealth but these guys don't let you, which is annoying :L

One of the reasons why Ucharted one was so great was that this supernatural element came as a total surprise.

Also I don't like the over the top feel of the sequels.

I read an interview with one of the guys from Naughty Dog, and he said there's two possible explanations for the descendants (the zombies):

-that the statue/mummy really is cursed

-that the mummy is infected with an airborn, rabies-like virus

In both cases, the descendants have gained their weird appearance through hundreds of years of inbreeding.They wanted the zombies to have a interchangeable supernatural and science fiction explanations. Pretty cool way to go about it.

For those of you saying that this isn't that hard or scary then try playing it on crushing with low brightness so that the only light you have comes from the red alarms and the flashlight on your waist. Also for a more frightening experience play alone at night when its super quiet. The things I do for 1 gold trophy...*sigh*

I give the game a 10 out of 10, although i think they should have toned it down a little bit with the zombies. They probably just wanted to rip off call of duty with the zombie mode, but they don't realize that the people who play Uncharted are looking for a great storyline, great graphics and good gameplay, not simply to kill anything that runs on the screen like Gears of War (although that's fun too). I hope that Drakes Deception doesn't have zombies or gaurdians/minotaur monsters in it.
