That was good, and though the intro sounded correct, I think there's an easier way to play it, and you're just making it harder on yourself.
Just make a chord formation like this
D|-|x|-|
A|-|-|x|
E|x|-|-|
and play the strings in this order: (starting with index finger at first fret) D-G-D (slide up two frets) A-D-A (slide down two frets) A-D-A (slide up two frets again) E-D-A
Hopefully that was easy to understand, because I'm not incredibly good at explaining things. Anyway, good job!
