Hey, thanks for sharing this vid. You didn't do that bad, really. I've been flying these mini's stock and modified for a good while now, and they are a handful in any case. Couple of things: Your radio is the very short range one. You will want to change that real fast, it was the cause of about every crash I ever had with my mini. Get a HK 6ch or 4ch for much better control. ALso use clear tape around the front end to keep it strong, and it won't crack off the front end on impact! Keep it up!
Simulators suck. THIS is a much more fun way to teach yourself to fly - though such a fast aileron plane makes it more challenging than other choices.
For EPP, you can repair it lighter and more easily with a contact cement like Goop, E6000, or Fabri-Tac (all available at Wal-Mat or other common stores). Spread a little on both surfaces, and press them together a few times to speed it up, and you're back in the air in minutes without needing electricity
The Parkzone Radian, (My Favorite Choice) NSP EZ-400, EZ-Star, SkyFly2, J3 Cub, Apprentice 15e, Nexstar Mini, Cessna 182, are some of the very best beginners planes.
Any of them would be better then what your working with right now...
I have been flying RC aiplanes for 30 years - since way back when an RC kit was a box of balsa wood with parts traced out on the wood in ink, and they all had to be hand cut out and glued together. There where no EPO foam kits - No RTF, or ARF kits. I just want to give you some tips to help you have a better experience as a beginner:
1. The LP5DSM Transmitter is Low Power, thats what LP means, it is designed for Indoor - or low distance use only.
@sbs9026 or instead of all of that... buy a clearview simulator (i have it and ITS GREAT) get all the parts necessary to build a delta (motor 1400kv w/ 7-4 or 8-4 prop for 3cell)
2. You should never start with a a small wing with low lift area airplane. Three channel Max as a beginner. A high wing / large wing with a ton of dihedral. Wing Dihedral causes the airplane so self correct itself to neutral level flight when you let go of the sticks. Yes the swift has some Dihedral in its wings - but the plane is too small and unstable, and greatly effected my the smallest amount of wind.
3. Get a radio like the DX6i - so you can customize the control surface throw rates and exponential %. Throw rate is the total amount of movement of the elevator or rudder. Expo is how fast or quickly the elevator moves compared to how much you move the radio stick. Slows down the control surface so that quick-hard stick movements by a beginner don't cause the plane to go out of control as easily - giving you more time to recover
A good tip is to use a little bit of up elevator when turning, so you dont loose altitude when turning, you seem to be over steering\correcting, it's better to use small movements to steer your plane... although, you should have started with a high-wing type plane as they are easier to fly for beginners because they are more stable.
I have a tip for learning how to fly modle planes. Make a figure 8 Shape with the plane so that ur standing here. ill show u with a little modle: < = you 8= planes flight path. 8< that way the plane is never facing you so u dont have to reverse sterring controls. hope this helps!
I know how it feels when it's your first time flying a plane, unlike a car, boat or helicopter you can't gradually ease yourself in with simple stuff, you just have to go for it, fling it into the air and hope for the best! And you certainly went in the deep end with that lightweight 4 channel, I started on a 2 ch.
when it aims towards the ground let off the throttle and regain control by pulling up and making necessary adjustments hopefully you end up doing better than me because i crashed a 500 dollar nitro plane
the best purchase you could ever make for rc flying is real flight g5. trust me if you get good on that you will be able to fly very well i went straight from a gas trainer to highly aerobatic airplanes and doing aerobatic manuvers like hovering...you will not regret it
hey dude i think you should get an rc flight simulator i mean i got mine for half the priced of you swift(and upgrades) and its REALLY realistic (not to spam) but if you want more info plz just reply thnks :)
when you turn, bring the plane level always or you'll keep crashing. i know, because i did that too many times. keep it up you're going to get good.

all the crashes seem to be from the electronics not a pilot error
you have to move the receiver away from the other electronics so that the plane does jam
