thats a horse thats being used as a weapon and device of intimidation, sad that the police corrupt animals like that, but the horses should be incapcitated just like the police officers
umm this ISNT from the G20 riots.. its actually the opening scene from the movie 28 Days Later.... go rent the movie and see for yourself... that movie came out in 2002.. all is not what it seems
It looked like the dude that got beat up was trying to stop the guy who was beating the horse up? Not sure but that's a great video--I feel sorry for all parties involved. The cop on the horse was doing his job and protecting his steed. Kill or be killed!!
Well, it's good that people point out that this video is not from the G20 protest. The G20 took place in april 2009 and this video was put up on 31 march 2009 before the G20 protests anyway. Well spotted though.
well, there is no way that anyone could claim police brutality here...The police had every right to hit back out. What on earth were those protesters thinking, attacking police in the first place...And on mounted horses no less! Stupidity abounds that's for sure.
you have a clear case of Stockholm syndrome even after watching an unarmed man being hit repeatedly over the head by mounted armed police you still justiy this violence..>? the only thing you and that officer did/are doing was/is direct more hatered towards police officers.
thanks to people like that brave civilian i dont have to pay any poll tax today.. know your enemy!
drag the fuckin pig off his horse and kick his fucking head in. We'll see when you get battered by police if you're still laughing than. Fucking kiss-arse mug.
haha! well done to the officer that got that chap over the head! jolly good hit old boy! Fellow deserved it for his dastardly attack from behind! :@ protester scum
Damn that guy got banged on the head pretty hard. Personally when pricks like that hit an animal.. I saw one hit the horse.. I would have banged him on the head too.
This riot started for the same reasons that the G20 riot started by the way. Because police baton charged a peaceful sitdown protest outside Downing Street. People were then chased and batoned in Trafalgar Square and mown down with police horses. There were dozens of injuries amongst these protesters at the anti-poll tax demonstration in 1990.
The protesters were simply exercising their basic human rights to freedom of expression. The police were completely out of order (as usual) using so much aggressive force to 'control' a peaceful demonstration.
lol that dude in the black jacket got owned pretty solidly by that bobby. nothing like a couple of swift shots on the noggin to sort things out. but yes, i'm with the protestors, fuck the bankers and the puppet politicians who want to own everything including you and me.
Someone should produce an instructional video on how to penetrate "riot police" body armour and how to properly defend against nightstick attacks and various other close quarter manuevers....
you're misguided about "capitalism". it is a word often used pejoratively to mean "making money". it is only bad to the extent that government gets involved, to which extent it ceases to become capitalism.
i wish i were in londong now to protest the governments f-ing up the world with their regulation and coercion and oligarchic colaboration with the bankers. give me my money and freedom back, or i'm going to come and take it.
No, what I say about 'Capitalism' is pretty much accurate.
That what we are told is Capitalism (a free market system) is pretty much Inverse Socialism. That is, a nanny state for the rich.
You aren't denying that big business & corporations receive vast amounts of subsidies & bail outs are you? In 1997, Chomsky cited 80% of the Fortune Top 100 as having received public subsidies & 20% being saved from total collapse with bail outs.
Also, the current Credit crisis had nothing at all to do with 'regulation'. In fact, quite the opposite. It was the relaxing of lending regulations (because the mortgage market was saturated), that lead to lenders taking more & more increased risk.
Once regulations were loosened, banks began lending in risky sub-prime & Alt-A sectors & attempted to spread the risk in securities & derivatives.
This is a major point: The Market doesn't factor in risk effectively! Free Markets lead to crisis.
I was agreeing with you there for a while. Corporations absolutely do receive bailouts, etc. But corporations also write the laws, the regulations you speak of (i.e. it's ok to have market to market on the way up, but let's switch to current cash flow accounting on the way down.) To say that a government can write and enforce regulations that are somehow not defiled by the immense omnipresent political force of corporations (wall street) is not right. They're hand in glove with each other.
The current crisis absolutely had everything to do with "regulation". This was in the form of interest rate setting by the Federal Reserve - held far too low for far too long. The market was not free to set these on its own. Also, this regulation was in the form of pushing Fannie and Freddie to back mortgages to subprime borrowers. Artificial low interest rates combined with bad monetary policy and artificial "ownership" society (Fannie and Freddie) gave us this crisis - read: government.
Fannie and Freddie are government backed and government guided, not free market entities. The politicians were happy that everyone was "buying things", and we had an "ownership" society.
Please give me a description of this free market you describe. I don't believe I've seen it.
Sarbanes-Oxley came in response to Enron ($30 bil.), and was supposed to be the regulation to save us from ourselves once and for all. But then along comes Madoff to soak us for over $50 bil.
And that was after the SEC had been repeated shown in detail how Madoff was committing fraud. Something they, the regulating/enforcing body absolutely ignored for years, until it was too late.
I work hard in great britain and pay my tax and i'm skint at the end of the week. And have to watch the one that makes money out of me AGENCY for the right to work then get taxed by my government that lets banker's get away with millions. And the police are just used to get money out of the car owner. mmmmmmm o well i always have death to look forward to my government can't follow me to heaven i wonder if god will treat me like this
makes us look bad but many was made homeless ,vans would go around with maggys face on terrorising familys taking there furiniture and kids toys though we have been punished enough for it now i think cos we are taxed left right and centre 100x worser then in those days
it looks like the pole tax riot had me fooled , i was thinking then wow britain still has balls heh...though looking at my council tax bill it becomes clear this isnt real

The State is responsible for the deaths of 270 million people in the last 100 years!
The U.S. & U.K. Governments have slaughtered 10+ million people since WWII & overthrown 50 govts abroad for profit.
Capitalist property (land) laws force us all into economic slavery (we are forced to work 800% harder to rent or buy land that nature gave freely).
Anarchists want to take the power back into the hands of the people.
They are fighting FOR freedom!
