@ganjarulez009 It is a percussion instrument called the Hang. Good luck getting one; they run a few thousand and there is a long waiting list for one. Ebay has two for sale, in the neighborhood of 2500-3k.

@mogges1 they are pretty much the easist instrument to play. they are known as Steel Pans, these ones in the video are called the Hang Pans, their is a version called the Halo Pans made by a company in the USA, while Hang Pans are made by a couple in switzerland.

Why are hang drums so expensive? I look on ebay and most of them cost 250 bucks. Shit sucks :D The sound is so great that I would even consider learning this instrument.

@TheSteems The real ones are hand made in Switzerland by a company named PANArt.

They don't just make them for anyone either, they decide if you can have one. $250 is pretty cheap, you're probably looking at a Milltone one, they generally go for $500 used.

To quote an article about PANArt hang drums regarding the price of a real one; "An authentic Panart hang drum will typically sell for between $7,000 and $15,000 in some cases. They are extremely rare."

@dhani7165 Did you see the org. PANart one on ebay? Very pricey if you want one in exchange for US dollars. Its popularity is still in its infancy so supply and demand suggest high costs and probably an extensive waiting list. Now only if i had a sack of Swiss francs or one ounce of gold....=(
