@videocanone , @lampardy88 This train in india is specially run as its declared a UNESCO world heritage. It is not replaced as, the train ride itself a major tourist attraction and helps the new generations and tourists experience the train travel back in the day and enjoy the scenery. It has nothing to do with poverty. You can say.. Its run as a hobby by the Indian Railways.
beautiful ! and so glad to hear someone finally say, "use it" rather than in a museum. Cars included. Got nice things? use them! (my grandfather used to say that, and he was born in 1889)
@pennyf9 No, I don't have guns. All that come into the scrap yard are brought in by the local police & they post an armed man beside the crusher who counts & confirms all which they bring in is destroyed.
A couple of the guys here do own weapons. They are registered & licensed. I don't let them in with them unless we have a fun reason to use them.
sry nice vid love it alot good job but the way the country is going days of freedom are number here in u.s theres way to much crooked gov officals all the way to the top just check out alex jones i really dont like the idiea of a amtrak station turned into a prison processing center with fema human cattle cars pulling up to load u.s citiziens for transport to a fema prisn camp somewhere in america/ these camps dont hav prisoners yet but they are ready to go there called gost sites some 6.000

The funny thing is that in the USA rich guys run old locomotives for nostalgia and a hobby, but in India and Afrika they run them because they are poor bastards who have to run them because they don't have the money top upgrade them, OR are so cheap they plan on running them into the ground.
@videocanone your comment itself shouts that you are a skanky little yankee bitch shoving a sub down your throat and passing judgements based on the partial display of facts on youtube videos and wiki crap (which you guys are expert at) and running your mouth as if there is no world outside the US; having no realisation of truth whatsoever. read the news and know how your economy is on a wane ...wise ass
It is the redneck assholes like you who spoil the name of states.

That is what I LOVE to see and watch. A machine that is still being used like it should and working for everyone to watch and experience. CRITICS CAN BACK OFF!
if locomotives just sit in the museums, they will slip from the collective memory! then they'll be just those big, clumpersome machines that are, basically, not different than a painting: you can see it, but you don't see or hear it work! how REAL is that?!
but, if they're present (read: driven) they will stay in people's collective memory and continue to amaze them, and that's what they should!
Steam may be old-fashioned but they are far superior to diesels and electrics when it comes to really cold weather. One steamer in Britain rescued a load of passengers in the south for free, and got them home after work, when we had a huge snowfall earlier on this year.
If anyone is interested there are two locomotives like this a few miles off the coast of Long Branch New Jersey at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. They stand upright side by side and have been studied. They think that they may have been thrown off of a ship in a storm because there is no sunken ship in the area or have fallen off a barge. They were on a TV show a few times. Check it out! Sir David
my mother is from that part of the world, so after watching this, then being able to see that little toy train perform sweet. Then having the Himalayas come in to view was pure icing on the cake.
yea the music is ingenious, Im glad im not the only one who loves the music. I think the artist is Justin Nicholls also known as monc I am trying to get my hands on the whole series of extreme machines music!
i too love the music which is played in extreme machine because it just increases the heart beat and trill so if u get all the music then please send to me.........
@RichardSwayne Right on, comrade! All steam locomotives rules and should still be in use today, no matter the weather. New diesels just fucks... Uh, I mean sucks!

"It's only ten miles to start cheering" was actually "It's only ten miles to Darjeeling",,, That's pretty awful.

That's not right about the highest railway station in the world.
Cripple Creek, CO 10,000ft. It was established in 1896. Midland Terminal, short line and Floesent-cripple creek.
Oh what about the pikes peek railway, teminates at 14,100 feet. It was also established in late 1800s .
The Durango-Silverton railroad that is on this clip goes up to 9,308ft. Also built in 1800s.
I like seeing old trains, but
I wish these people could get their facts strait.
