  • This is awesome. I love the instrument and composition, but I feel like the rubato is a little too much at times. I would feel better if the speed-ups and slow-downs weren't so drastic. Other than that, great performance!

  • @superbane2 Let her play however she wants, it´s HER music, it´s you who don´t understand, I love it the way it is!

  • @superbane2 Thumbs up for the positive, supportive feedback.

  • This is total bliss, glad I found you. Just a beautiful composition :}>

  • still Epic. Thank You!

  • I am just learning to play the dulcimer, and this transcends anything I have heard. The tune itself is hauntingly beautiful, and the playing is flawless. Thank you for this. I hope to be this good once on the dulcimer !

  • Dear @Youtube... this video has a Dislike button... please can u remove it?? thanks :D

  • Wonderful music !

  • very good song (!!)

  • Does anyone know where I can buy this instrument

  • @bartasraczek --> musikhaus-hammerschmidt.at for example or just search for "Hackbrett" ^^

  • @bartasraczek The instrument is called a hammered dulcimer in England and the USA. Some of the best instruments in the USA are made by Russell Cook. He can be contacted at Master Works P.O. Box 167 or 36613 US Hwy 70 Bennington, OK 74723 580-847-2273

You can also search for "masterworksok" on the internet

  • wow amazing

  • Beautifully armonious ^^

  • Gorgeous music.

  • I think that it may be great to hear a dulcimer be played with a hurdy-gurdy, Harmonium, or harp?

  • Linda ...

  • WOW ! Nice melodies i love it ;) xxx

  • As a small boy in London the early'50s, I used to go 'down the lane' on Sunday mornings, and I remember a chap used to play one of these under an archway which used to give a resonant, haunting quality to the music.

  • @harbuthnot Theres A Same Story With Me Too! I Went On Holiday In Scotland And Every Day When I Was Free, I Used To Go Down A Valley With My Friends With A Little Tin Of Coins And Listen To A Man Play This Instrument! I Was So Mesmerized, When I Left, I Bought Him A New Hat With A Rabier In It. He Writes To Me Saying He Never Plays Without It On (:

  • @Alana00vampire00 So did he play in the open? A hat would be welcome, I am puzzled as to what a 'Rabier' is? I remember seeing a lone piper in Glencoe, but I suspect he was there for the tourists!.

  • @harbuthnot Yeah He Played In The Open. A Rabier Is A Feather In The Hat By The Way. It Was Like In a Film Because The Streets were so quiet And You Couldnt Really Focus On Anything Else Except Him!

  • @harbuthnot sweet memory

  • I NEVER heard something like that, I love it!

  • Can I share this video on the Kirks Folly Facebook wall :3

They love fairytale and mystical themes. I'm sure they will enjoy your music.

  • love the music...and the dress

  • I want that instrument o.o

  • This rocks! So peaceful, beautiful and also astonishingly stunning! One of greatest finds in you tube!

  • this is so remarcable and wonderful!

  • Love it

  • I'm pretty sure the wind and birds in the background actually makes this sound better...

  • I'm playing air dulcimer!.. :)

  • Amazing...

  • Stunning!

  • I don't know why, but I thought of Kamelot when I heard this...I think something like this would make an amazing intro to a song, with the rest of the band coming in but the dulcimer still being prominent throughout. That seems like it would be so epic!

  • OWESOMEEEEEEEEEE.PEACE-SAIRAM

  • Wonderful! Congratulations!

  • So when I started my general education at the Municipal Conservatory of the city I chose this traditional organ. So I have 19 years in my possession a wonderful dulcimer 3 and half scales It haves many forms and names in the world but ultimately it is always the same melodic instrument, just magic. Well in greece we play it in the east way of our tradition.and here the place of hammers takes the baguettes, sticks wrapped in cotton. Glad to meet you Dizzi.

  • The dulcimer is a wonderful instrument, an orchestra in itself, twenty years ago when I heard the village of Lesvos Ayiassos from a well-known musical santur, because there really have a great tradition and art in the dulcimer, so amazed that I asked My parents after returning home from holiday to find out anyway this wonderful organ.

  • santur,santoor,dulcimer,gimbalon........many names same organ.

here in greece we call it sanduri(σαντούρι(greeks)) = santur.

  • Years and years of keeping in the closet... and it's just now that I realize that I played a dulcimer when I was a child.

  • beautiful <3

  • I love how you can tell she gets into the music by her movements. Played from the heart <3 I LOVE IT.

  • this is beautifull

  • holy smokes, finally! I thought these sounds were just in my head. That sounds stupid, I know, but it's like...being able to see for the first time. I feel amazing, thankyou!

  • @davebot9000 to see what?

  • arlet101 Becareful dear, many need to be very careful the creator of the Galaxies above not send your way that Heaven when you are not ready as Speech which was not proper told of your every deed and many of modern society are rather IDOLOTROUS and COVETEOUS and if you were not dressed to proper station you would run the penalty of the stocks. If that were to happen and you would have children where would they be as these cannot support their way. Who would take them a SLAVE of another sort. Oh

  • @Constantia1000 ....?

  • Love it!

  • I really cant understand why there are some people thumbing down this video, if they dont like it, they should not watch it. It sounds really nice, giving the peace to each soul hearing it, making your mind calm down. At least something can wash away the troubles of every days life :-).

What is more wonderfull is a modern girl with sense for something like this. I wish there were more people like you.

    Honore et Gloriam.

  • @Retarior To decide if they like it or not;they have to watch it first and then thumbs up or down.I'm a thumbs up,of course.

  • @artconva

Well there are those, who watch it only for thumbing down for some reason. Its not uterly objective, but... thumbing down became hobby for some people. It could be some metalists or Hopers who do it just for dislike this folk style...
