  • The real Problem is SHE DID NOT SAY "WHAT IS" IN FRONT OF HER ANSWER!

  • @sonnyhe2002 She says "What's"

  • @sonnyhe2002 yes she did...

  • They asked another RIM/Blackberry related question the other day, got it right this time. lol

  • definitely a faulty question.. but anyone would have answered blackberry considering the category was called "not edible fruit terms"

  • @richieroro OR APPLE.

  • Nooooo its rim what kinda ... Ughh nm

  • u guys care too much. get a gf.

  • lmao. win.

  • Too bad it's not over 9000.

  • hahaha, awesome!! The answer totally is RIM, I live across from a dozen of their buildings. And if the category is "Non-edibles" and they wanted to say "Blackberry" there should have been a better answer!

  • way to put your self out their.... dumbass

  • well excuse me for wanting to have a bit of fun making fun of jeopardy,

it certainly ain't me who's the ass

  • that girl needs a blackberry aka dick, up her ass

  • @GeGeMus12 LOL WTF?

  • Jim Balsillie is the man. Fuck Gary Bettman.

  • who cares ?? some people are so critical. I have a blackberry. I dont tell people i have a RIM phone. Who does ?

  • The company is RIM, not Blackberry. That's the point. It's not a matter of being critical -- critique really has nothing to do with it -- it's a simple point of information; it's a factual error on the part of Jeopardy. Blackberry is a product line.

  • You're missing the point, the question was "the company" and blackberry is not the company. In short she's wrong yet got it correct.

  • LOL Jeopardy FAILS. "THIS COMPANY'S" is RIM of course. If the answer was supposed to be "BlackBerry", the question would be "The Bold 9000 is among this series of smartphones". "Company" would've been left out altogether.

  • jeopardy is messed up some times

they nit pick you on the stupidest things but then accept turtle when tortoise is correct or crocodile when alligator is the correct answer

  • @starscreambelinda very nice fixed answer, well done!

  • The answer is not blackberry! Thats just a brand name the company that created it is RIM reasearch in motion! I SHOULD KNOW! I FREAKIN WORK AT RIM!

  • @TheDarkRose13

    jim balsillie is my boy

  • uh okay? who the heck is he?

  • wow your an idiot.... if you don't know who Jim balsillie is.... total moron.... hes one of rims chief officers... aka BIG DICK..... i cannot believe you work there and you don't know who Jim is. dumb ass!

  • @TheDarkRose13

jim balsillie is president of RIM. he tried and failed to get a professional NHL hockey team here in my hometown hamilton ontario, 3 times! i have nothing but respect for mr balsillie

  • haha im from the hammer too. i think that jim-ball failed us but he wont give up on it, im sure well hav a team by 2012

  • @xBamf4Lifex

    youre from hamilton too!

    hockeys awesome, so is wrestling

    watch my video

  • ah i dont live in hamilton i live in waterloo

  • @ginrummy20

    youre from hamilton???

    watch our video!!~!!

  • ya the answer is RIM, Research in Motion, i think

  • why oh why was this featured?

my wrestling video is way better. lol check it out!

    go trebek!

  • Blackberry is the wrong answer, fools. "...is among this company's series of smart-phones."

The answer is for "This company". Blackberry is a series, yes, but the statement wasn't focused on the series. It was focused on the company.

    Learn how to read.

  • you're stupid the category is "Non-edibles" meaning the statement is based on a type of food that is non-edible meaning it would have to be "Blackberry" since there's no food called "Research in Motion"

  • Why would you upload this?

  • ITS OVER 9000

  • @ironj221

That was my first thought :P

  • @ironj221

    LOL

  • actually it IS 9000

  • I think its RIM, blackberry is just the brand.

  • A less Ambiguous way to ask that question would be "The Blackberry Bold 9000" and make the answer Research in Motion.

  • What a poorly phrased answer/question. I think you could make an argument that the question was for either the series or the company. Fail on Jeopardy's fault for writing something so ambiguous.

  • company's SERIES.. you know what series is?

blackberry is the RIGHT answer. RIM is the COMPANY, not the SERIES.

  • No. You are ALL fail.

It asks, "is among this company's SERIES"

    The series IS blackberry.

    Jeopardy WINS.

  • Which is to say they were asking for the Company's name.

  • @lilpinkpwny

No, more like "is among THIS COMPANY's series". If they wanted the series, the clue would have read "this series". But, it reads "this company", which obviously is asking for ... the company. Besides, the Bold 9000 is listed as AMONG the series from THIS COMPANY. So the correct response is What is Research in Motion?.

  • @ricepaddy69

That's a very good point ricepaddy. I believe the question is written in a very misleading way. If they were looking for the series then they should have mentioned RIM in the question... and if they were looking for the company then they should have mentioned the word Blackberry. I think they planned on giving points for both "Blackberry" and "RIM".

  • @lilpinkpwny

Yeah, that was probably the case. Personally, I also thought "Blackberry" should have been in the clue. Or if they wanted Blackberry as the response, they should have put "Research in Motion" in the clue somewhere.

Anyway you slice it, Jeopardy! didn't have their usual form and attention to detail when they wrote this question. Not their best moment.

  • They probally got it wrong because RIM is a Canadian company and they never actually heard of it.

  • Jeopardy host Alex Trebek is Canadian.

  • @humanpower

what does that have to do with anything? Trebek just reads the questions as they are written, he doesn't write them.

  • this isnt a fail the category is non edible fruit, so the answer would be blackberry

  • Blackberry is the brand. RIM is the company. Definite Jeopardy Fail.

  • also, if I'm not mistaken this is Alex' final season on the show, which can make it fun to watch because he doesn't give a care anymore, and he makes fun of the contestants when they fail.

  • The correct reponse woould have been:

    "What is Research In Motion?"

  • This is bbgeekchic of BBMotion, what's sad is that she was wearing a MINNESOTA gophers jersey, and I'm from MINNESOTA. Hello....its RIM tard, not BlackBerry. Sheesh.

  • Hahahahahaah. You're great Monica.

  • FAIL BLOG WORTHY

  • blackberry is a type of fruit and are the BEST phones ever

RIM (research in motion) are the great people who design and sell the phone

  • This is an epic fail.

  • Hah hah.

  • Research In Motion!!!

  • thats still pretty epic even if she said blackberry

  • Um she got it wrong. Blackberry is a brand of the company RIM.

  • right. what is a Blackberry. She has the perfect tone with "Blackberry" too haha

  • WOW~! RIM!

  • omg, rim duhh lol

  • Research In Motion!!!

  • rim?
