hey turbochicken ... im actually playing djembe for 4 or 5 months .. how do i know if the djembe is out of tune or tuned .. and please help in the djembe's maintenance i really don't know about it... cause i want to maintain the good sound of it
Hola turbochicken, disculpa porque no se escribir en ingles, ¿esto que haces es freestyle verdad? no tiene que ver con djembe africano, mas bien parece una mezcla de congas y darbouka no?
ok, i can try, but i don't write good in english. I ask for you about your technic and your style, it isn't african djembe style, it isn't oriental darbouka style, and it isn't afrocuban congas style, my question is: do you do a mixed style?? or freestyle?? I hope you can understand me. thank you so much
i'm actually a drummer, and somehow managed to devise this way of replicating the drumset beats / techniques onto the djembe. it's more of like what you said, free style. but it's really unorthodox. traditional african djembe players won't be too happy about this free style...but what i'm doing here is for contemporary / Christian music playing :)
