If they ask me what church I attend, usually after that, we're talking about God or something about our relationship with Christ. I never got cookies or money, but, I have had a lot of hugs, kisses on the cheek, phone numbers (to get together for brunch) or something. I think it's awesome to step out in faith to speak to a total stranger about Christ. I've met really neat people!

That's happened to me a couple of times in Walmart & It kind of made me wonder if I was being scammed or something. I just smiled & listened to what they had to say. Then after they left I made sure I still had my purse. You can never let your guard down. But some people are just beieng friendly.

Ok so i have a theory.. because this happens to me too... I think it's because they're match-makers! I think they want the young dudes at they're church to marry other church going girls.. hence why she asked you what church you go to!
I always seem to get invited to the youth/singles nights at peoples churches..? lol
also.. i do think its kinda weird that she gave you money.. is she paying you to go to church?.. or bribing you? lol. maybe she expects you to give the money back as an offering?

@supawoman85 Actually it is to bless her that is the intention and if she does not really need it bless someone else with it. There is just not enough love in the world for one another. Everyone is so cynical it is so sad really

Wow, that's a first... being given money to be witnessed to. I think cuz u have a look that's so gentle & innocent... sort of like a sheep, and they think you're an easy target to convince you to going to church... idk. Be blessed girl!

That's happened to me a couple of times in Walmart & It kind of made me wonder if I was being scammed or something. I just smiled & listened to what they had to say. Then after they left I made sure I still had my purse. You can never let your guard down. But some people are just beieng friendly.
