Mainstream science, medicine and psychology are much better sources for right and wrong than a barbaric ancient desert tribe that condones slavery(Lev. 25:44), beating slaves(Exodus 21:20), requires rape victims to marry the rapist(Deuteronomy 22:28-29), condones jihad type God led warfare where all children are killed save the virgins who are 'rewards' for the soldiers who just slaughtered their families (Numbers 31:15), and doesn't think to mention child molestation, a very heinous crime.

Well it sure is strange then that 4 to 5% of Americans in CNN's exit polls for the 2004 elections, self-identified as gay or lesbian. And that's just the ones who admitted it. I think you're buying into the propaganda. Just use common sense. In any high school or college class of around 35 students or group of 30 or 40 coworkers there's always at least one person if not two that are pretty obviously gay or lesbian. And those are just the obvious ones. So it's definitely not less than 2%.

Rpgboy, the cart needs to come before the horse. Sexual attraction is SEXUAL. Meaning SEXUAL REPRODUCTION. Sexual attraction is due to sexual reproduction. If humans reproduced asexually there would be no sexual attraction and thus no marriage. Anthropologists will tell you: marriage is a social function built on the foundation of biological reproduction. No reproduction => no marriage.

Well I hate to tell you this but human beings don't turn 12 or 13 and then make a decision to grow pubic hair and be attracted to the opposite sex because that's how reproduction works. No. Sexual attraction just happens and in 5% of the population it's to the same sex and only the same sex. And people don't experience romance, dating and falling in love all for the sake of creating children - in fact, a lot of the time that's the last thing on their mind.

You obviously misunderstood what I just said. There's a simple solution to this, and it's to have gays and lesbians have "civil unions" and not marriage under a religion.
