Yea, I got a dad just like that 'cept he wheelies road bikes. Rd350 ypvs up in 2nd and right through to 6th, he's a bit heavy on the back brake pads ! He's really old (46).

hey i was jw ive been looking at a new bike i got a yz 125 ive hade it for about 4 months i love it and it has lots of power but its just not enough. i was wondering if i should step up to a 2 stroke 250 orr just wait and keep riding my yz?

@changsifon on a 250 2 stroke, you dont need the power band to wheelie. its got enough torque to keep a long wheelie. but it takes alot of skill to mater a wheelie on a 2 stroke.

@armyranger75dept well once you get to like a 125 2stroke all the bikes are all like the same height so if you really wanted you could get like a 450 if you bye it new then it will take a little bit for the suspension to get good but once it does gets broken in the it will be good

Speed is the key to perform a nice, smooth wheelie. The fastest you go, the easiest it becomes to keep a good balance without using too much gas and break.

But you definitely need some gut to perform a wheelie while you're going over 50 mp/h

i agree with mrkellojello i have crf450r and i find in top gear wheelies are better of being more vertical in balance point at low rev other wise you keep winding the throttle to keep front wheel of the ground then you run out of revs.

my 2000 cr250r pulls wheelies so nicely that i can keep it consistant first gear through 5th on some striaght aways its all in throttle control and how good you can balance it oh yea! and learnin how to use your foot brake

Thats a sick wheelie man! but you need to get higher and find a more "tippy" balance point. cuz you can hear the engine getting higher and higher RPM's until you have no choice but to go down, the higher you are the less work the engine has to do to keep you up higher and longer.
