  • .. that is a great ride Luke - loved the viaduct section especially ..

  • Nice! You used a bit of motion blur, right? And I suppose it is not interlaced but progressive, or am I wrong?

  • @hanzi169 Something like that. I usually use the "disable resample" option to remove the motion blur, but for this one I thought I'd leave it in.

  • Super cool!!

  • Small corrections... Northbound on I-229, the exit is for US 36 not US 59. Coming southbound on I-229, It is US 59 north not south. Otherwise a great video! I love going over the I-229 viaduct. It travels right by the Missouri River.

  • @simplykristib The shield signs on the top left actually aren't indicating exits, but the road you're about to enter. Unless I misread something....

  • @eluko79 You got it right. It's pretty straightforward. US-59 shares the route with I-229 for a couple miles.

  • Another cool video, keep up the good work!!!

  • Great video!!!!!!! Bye.

  • whats the song?

  • Nice video! I didn't know that I-229 have an double stacker interchange with US-36 in St. Joesph! Nice choice of music as well! Keep up the great work!

  • Very nice video ! Sorry ,i'm from France : what's the name of this river at 1:10 ? Merci !

  • @CALZOLA Thanks! That would be the Missouri River.

  • I love how St. Joseph's freeway underpasses/overpasses use steel just like the majority of the nation does. Here in Las Vegas its concrete...pianted orange more and more, but concrete nonetheless.

  • A double-decked viaduct in St. Joseph of all places? I guess I wasn't expecting that at all, mainly because after previewing (boring) I-29 on Streetview, I just assumed I-229 was more of the same. It seems like the immediate geography bordering the river is hillier than what lies inland, a few miles to the east.

Good stuff, I really enjoyed the retro song you choose, too. Thumbs up!

  • @FreewayBrent: chose*...damn typo, lol.

  • @FreewayBrent Thanks Brent! It was a nice surprise when I discovered it myself while making the plans. As for I-29, it was actually kind of scenic once you head north out of town. The views of the Missouri river valley were pretty cool.

  • Nice video, Luke. Well done.

  • Nice work! Neat highway system for a city that size.

  • Really enjoyed the tour of St. Joseph again! Been thru there a few times beings as I'm not that far from there...relatively speaking! You should cross the river over into Kansas on 36 sometime! Been there and done that for quite a ways over that way! Anyhow...5 stars and 2 more thumbs up Eluko79!!!! Keep them coming! Mark in Iowa.

  • Excellent work! The song was really nice for the drive in St. Joseph. I agree with you that it is unfortunate that historic buildings had to be demolished to make way for the interstate. That's really sad. Downtown St. Joseph is still full of beautiful, historic buildings!

  • @Reiser86 Thanks. I'd have to agree. It's one of the most historically preserved cities Ive come across.

  • Thankyou for this great video and music background.

    Do you have more?

  • @Raeb222 You're very welcome. I do actually, but this is the first St Joseph video Ive filmed so far.

  • Awesome video and track!

  • What type of camera/mount do you use for your driving videos?

  • @captaintwathorse I use a flip cam with a panavise mount. There's a picture of the whole setup on my facebook thing.

  • Great song and wonderful video! What time of year was this taken? It seems strange without there being snow on the ground this time of year..

  • @Yoshiisland12345 Thanks! This was filmed in June of last year.

  • NICE!!

  • great ride thanks

  • Well done. Awesome video.
