Obviously a lot of record companies loved the Southbound Freeway. This early 1967 single was simultaneously released on the Red Rooster, Tera Shirma and Roulette labels. And with good reason. It is one of garage rock's definitive masterpieces. The wordplay and coy references to walking down Livernois, eight track stereo tape packs and psychedelic dashes are pure genius!
