Will someone please explain to me why a queen would abandon her kittens? I thought they have the instinction of staying with their kittens 'til they're old enough; this strayed queen became so ill-looking and left her only two kittens a week later; I think she died in somebody's backyard!

There are tons of reason why a mother cat would abandon her kittens. The reason why in his case, was that she sensed there was something 'wrong' with him and abandoned him. Queens will do that in order to not risk the safety of the rest of the litter.

if a cat is wild and something touches its kittens, the kitten will loose the scent and mother will abandon it, if the cat and kittens are tamed and bred in your home, you can touch them eventually

wow i saved a kitten last week very similar and case. 3 months aprox. Amazing itlooks like the same cat!

X rays show a broken femur and welded in a funny way. And a curved (deformed)spine (not broken). Doctors say it probably wont walk.

The cat moves the legs, open the fingers etc.. but cant stand.

They say it was better to put him to sleep..

but look at those eyes and try to do it or leave him there.. i cryied some minutes and decided to give him a chance.
