@YavannaGreen In my opinion they were spectacular movies, you are just on a righteous trip. Yes the books were better, but that is the case with every movie. I have gone through the books after watching the movies and just under 400 pages of the whole trilogy are actually parts of the movies. I was upset that Tom Bombardile wasnt in the movie, but they had to make way for relevant story line. They were great movies, deserving of the awards. Keep in mind new and old versions of the trilogy...

Oh no, not at all. I merely mean that Raimi's type of directing wouldn't be suited to a film like the Hobbit. He wouldn't have a feel for the Middle Earth universe like Jackson does, because Jackson spent all those years working on LOTR and Raimi doesn't really have any past experience with those sort of films. His films are big and dramatic and flashy, he wouldn't pay attention to the tiny subtle details like Jackson did.
