  • UDK is the future

  • how hard is it to use??? bye the looks very hard

  • 0:54 ao 59 ele passa um arquivo de um computador para o outro muito show

  • This engine needs serious help.It needs to evolve with it's competition.

  • I want that game -_-

  • Wait so you can't make an actual game out of this!!??!!

  • @xPancakes4lyf What on Earth made you think that you can't use this program to make a game? Seriously, what part of this video made you think "Oh, so you can't actually make games with this."

  • my 3 hommies and i hope to by the ps3 sdk in 10 months and use the UDK to make our own fps. wish us luck

  • @imangekyo how much does that cost anyways?

  • @imangekyo how much does that cost anyways? me and five of my buddies are starting development with UDK (planning to create a 3rd person pvp oriented shooter "mmo"

  • @lolcatchful the psn sdk is about 10,250 dollars but they want proof you have 100,000 to prove financial stability. and if you guys are making mmo thenj i suggest you prepare to pump out about 100,000 dollars on release. servers cost about 2000 per, and u might need around fifty. unless u mean an mmo like just a multiplayer only third person where people just drop into matches because udk can only naturtally for free only support 64 players per client/server. if u want more info just ask.

  • @imangekyo I'd say that the UDK is too unoptimized for most of the simple stuff it does. i'm waiting on the GPL release of idtech 4 next year (IDTECH 4 basically made bump mapping and killed the whole DX 7 Game compatability) they still use it for brink and duke nukem forever.

  • @YoungGO1990 Duke Nukem Forever runs on the unreal engine

  • @RobertJGowans Update THEYSELF since Gearbox too the project they went on ID Tech 4

  • @YoungGO1990 I'm sorry, but that is simply not true. You don't have to take my word for it though, wait until the game is released.

  • Wow, this guy responded to one of my emails! I didn't know he was head of the company.

So... if UDK isn't that tough to use, is Monster Madness ever gonna get fixed?

  • What is the difference between the UDK and the Unreal Editor that comes with Unreal Tournament 3?

  • @BREAKINBRI UDK is free, and does not require Unreal Tournament 3.

The UDK is a much newer version of the engine, and is being updated monthly.

And you are free to release stand-alone games (on a non-commercial basis).

Games can be released commercially too, but requires a commercial license.

  • i love UDK thanks epic games, now can make our games.

  • UE is pretty much an industry standard at this point. No real reason to make your own game engines anymore.

  • loved this video

  • Just downloaded UDK last night, 'tis rather confusing to be honest. Good stuff anyways.

  • takes time

  • that little whizzle sea creature thing is cute lol (no homo)

  • @SHOOT3RiG3ARS What is the point of this comment (no homo)?

  • that's great

  • Are you a stupid cunt in real life too?

  • Why don't you take that bell end out of your gob and spend some time bothering to learn the tools that you're trying to use instead, you useless twat.

UDK with regard to you is really a matter of pearls before swine.

  • As much weight as your response may or may not be, trying to verbally abuse a troll only fuels their pointless space wasting on Google's Servers, at the end of the day, it is irrelevant. Don't feed the trolls.

Back on topic, from what I've seen from the Unreal Engine as apposed to most other game engines. Yes at first it may seem harder to work with, at first. But you soon quickly realize it's the easiest platform to work with and practically bug free compared to most other engines.

  • Thanks for the etiquette lesson from a month old comment, Miss Manners.

Care to follow your own advice?

  • what a loser

  • Well. UT3 comes with a level editor. Look in your system files.

  • Thanks :>

  • yeah generally there's some learning involved when it comes to pretty much anything.

  • i want to see a 3d platform tutorial in UDK

site and not this type of game

  • wow thats gonna make dev less time to create games and more money out of our pockets

  • I hope we will see some tuttorials soon!

  • @zizikelizike ever check the forums?

  • HELL YEAH~!

  • i was trying to find people to help me build my game im hoping to start soon using URE

  • I designed game levels w/Unreal engine it is pretty complex for learning how to use. Other than that it is easy to get what you want, when you know how the engine works.

  • wow, that's impressive

  • Amoq krass ich glaub ich lad mir das mal runter !

  • wow.

  • 4th

  • this makes me want to design a game right about now.

Unreal engine is the easiest engine out of the ones i saw.

  • what do you think of the new crysis engine?

  • Crysis engine is stellar , but it takes getting used too.

UE is the easiest one i've seen so far. thats why everyone uses it.

  • Yea well, UE is free, Crysis engine is about one millions dols, and, not available to public, so i doubt you could tell :)

  • lol, new

  • Don't forget source.
