  • raping the replay button :D

  • Check out my cover of the solo if you have time! :)

  • Tiers to the eyes...

  • guitar solo level: OVER 9000

  • I have a Rising Force... In my pants.

  • Amazing!

  • Greatest stuff! EVAR!!!

  • This song accompanied me during my study for a major exam, and boy i did well for it...FElt the rising force when studying...

  • Dear lord, this guitar solo is brilliant.

  • awesome solo !!!

  • Replayed!

  • Fuck the vocals are way too awsome !

  • 2:18 fuck yeah!!!!

  • if you love guitar, you love Malmsteen!

  • 9 people suck

  • Awesuuuuume

  • -Encantador-

  • I prefer his band stuff to his solo stuff, but i don't like the fact that he makes it all about him, Rising Force features some amazing musicians who don't get the credit they deserve!

  • in my opinion, why even compare slash and malmsteen, they are completely different styles. slash is too expressive and touchy feely and malmsteen is just fast and add a little feeling here there, for me malmsteen is a far more technical guitarist then most guitarists

  • old malmsteen stuff. total bad ass.

  • ok about the whole slash dillema, yes he isn't a very good guitarist he just had catchy lines and a good look thats why people love him

  • i dont understand why Slash always comes up when ever guitar players are mentioned, he isnt a standard, he doesn't suck but he isnt THAT good, he is a average guitarist, he is like Kurt Kobain, he hasn't done anything but people like him for the sake of liking him, he hasn't done anything to prove to me that he is better then hundreds of others, honestly i dont care about a persons attitude either, if your an ass hole but you can play mean guitar your a good guitarist, i think its the hat.

  • Hey you dopey basterd this isn't about masterbation it is about long walks on the beach, holding hands, watching moonbeams, puppy dogs, rainbows and a lot of pillow talk with your same sex lover. I think your whole world is about stiring the peanut butter with your neighbors husband, flogging the dolphin and lighting fires with matches in a drunkin state and crashing your car into a bridge abutment. Just kidding : )

  • Now in 2012 people hardley even recognise Malmsteen as a guitarist, He is one of the best guitarists of all time and he was not even placed on the list...... WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP..... Malmsteen is a Guitar GOD compared to half of the guitarists now, if not for malmsteen Zack Wylde and many more would not exist.

  • If I'm correct,Slash is in Motley Crue right now. If I'm incorrect...That just means I don't know any band players, just the music. I love this song! It reminds me of my Role-play charcter((Note:Not LARP,Online Rp. I am not a nerd going around in tights yelling"Hazzah"))

  • is.that.voice.jorn.lande???

  • @joseking34 No it's Joe Lynn Turner of Rainbow 'I Surrender' fame:) Jorn was Yngwie's singer for about 4 days before he quit in the middle of a tour!

  • I love Sweden---the birthplace of metal!!! Seriously, metal started in Sweden!

  • @laurelfan1 england*

  • @ilovepantera97 I stand corrected. I read that the other day.

  • Yngwie Malmsteen is the shit!! He blows Slash away!!

  • Awesome solo!

  • I once felt a rising force, but then I farted hehehe

  • Wow that is sweet, a lot better than that bloody Dragonforce, Not much of a classical guitar lover although i do think the one from Pantera was amazing. I Have also listened to a Guy called John A stone and his song Solace and wow it is sweet.

  • The flagship of Rising Force! Coolest tune...

  • It's tech to soul.Give me BB King any day! The kid is good, but who is going to remember when it comes to the..................

  • @jbeng1953 The sad thing is, I bet more people of our generation know Malmsteen over B.B. King, as little as both of those numbers are. And even less people understand the important impact that blues and the rhythm it had made on metal throughout the years (of course we educated folk know that).

  • @Varentstov yea i bet very few people (besides guitar players) know either one, classical and blues are what mainly make up metal, but malmsteen didn't really have much blues influence

  • @Varentstov

Fewer still know Andres Segovia. There's always influence stacked onto influence. Just have faith they'll discover them in time. Because music like this IS timeless.

  • YNGWIEEEEEEE!!!!!! \m/

  • I think nobody can compare Slash and Yngwie that way.. Yngwie's technique to play is unique and I bet Slash can't do all those things Yngwie does. But Slash's riffs and solos are legendary, and yes, he puts much emotion in his play, so I respect him too

  • @suzukipv2796 Slash is an overrated piece of shit.

  • @ARESNON When you say"Yngwie only knows how to play fast"? Thats bullshit man. Yeah Slash is good, but Yngwie is still better than Slash cause he can play classical guitar, and Slash can't. Classic music is the most hardest music to play out of anything!

  • RISING FORCE!! *Slash* Ky! Wins!

  • Joe Lynn Turner changed everything

  • great song, great album ROCK ON DUDES ! ROCK FOREVER TILL WE F DIE!

  • Blah.

This guy was tired by his third album. Diminishing runs and arpeggios ad nauseum at 120 bpm played over goth metal doth not an accomplished guitarist make.

  • I found out about this guy thanks to the cover that Hammerfall did on their album Crimson Thunder. What an amazing guitar player and vocalist :D

  • Yngwie is good. But I prefer Jason Becker. But Yngwie is still amazing.

  • Best song I discovered in 2011!

  • @kaupunkimoukari hell yeah! my uncle gave me this cd a few years ago. never gets old

  • Definitely Joe Lynn Turner on this - and not Barriemore Barlow on drum. We were firmly in speed picking and US production standards territory here. Still one of my all-time fave openers on ANY album

  • "Rising Force" album, which opens the solo work of Malmsteen. His incomparable talent as a guitarist was readily recognized and, with his debut album with an undeniable artistic quality) and achieve a Grammy nomination for "Best Hard Rock Instrumental" in the year of its release.

    Great talents together:

Yngwie Malmsteen - Acoustic guitars, electric bass and Taurus Pedals

    Barriemore Barlow - Drums

Jens Johansson - Keyboards acoustic and electric

    Jeff Scott Soto - Vocals

  • @juniorcantabile Dream team indeed, something like Rainbow was but harder and faster!

I remember the words o Barlow when he first saw what Yngwie wanted him to play:"Aye lad,I thought Anderson was mad but you're worse",lol!

  • This is definitely about masturbation

  • attention everyone it is joe lynn turner singing on this album not yngwie himself or jeff scott soto

  • i lol at all the slash haters on here :P jealous that he`s famous, rich and a better composer/player than you`ll ever be? :P

  • Is that Yngwie singing ?? =0

  • @yvaquiram No.

  • @xXAmudielXx Who's singing ?? Do you know ??

  • @yvaquiram Joe Lynn Turner i think, dont quote me though

  • @yvaquiram Jeff Scott Soto on this album

  • @RindraRado Thank you :D

  • @yvaquiram Np:P

  • @RindraRado WRONG Joe Turner

  • @fsadkfhdsj Right right, I just looked at the CD.

  • really awesome

  • 2:18 My last Words - Megadeth :P

  • @PanosGuitarHero Omg your right it is my last words note for note lmfao, its funny though cos, perhaps not to this degree, but iv'e sat on my guitar and written little ditties that sound really good only to then hear them come on on my shuffle, its pretty depressing lol.

  • @drakonimetal Joe Lynn Turner is the one on vocals here

  • I think the dislikes are because Yngwie is an insaneee player but he is total dick and that makes him not as fun to listen to. lol

  • @Whatsupwhat09 what interview was he a dick in? I've seen him interviewed and he seems cool to me

  • @MetalMania33 On the Pantera 3 Vulgar Videos Dvd...I was just trying to find it on youtube but i can't find it.

  • @Whatsupwhat09 hmmmm I think I know someone who has those I'll ask them if I can borrow it

  • @MetalMania33 Yeahh, i'll try and watch mine so i can let you know what disc it's on...He was a complete douche to the camera man(dime) and Kat the drum tech when he was walking into some hotel. I think it's cause he knew that a lot more people liked Dimebag than him. don't get me wrong, Yngwie is an outstanding guitarist. But dime definitely has a better vibe. :)

  • how this is possible 5 dislikes wtf with this people

  • Is this Mark Boals vocals?

  • @drakonimetal no it's Michael Jackson

  • @jeanbono000 Thanks, jackass.

  • perfect solo

  • omfg, the solo is AMAZING

  • ale on zapierdala po tym wiośle <3

  • muito bom

  • That's wat I call GOOD MUSIC ! ROCK ON ! :D

  • Who is singing in this one? This is the voice I remember. I love it...

  • @huntinshamrocks The gentlemans name is Joe Lynn Turner ( He also sang with Rainbow on the "street of dreams" album) ROCK ON!

  • @bluejay724 Thank you so much.

  • Air guitarin' to this is tough... Excellent... :D

  • @demma961 instead of air guitaring, buy a bullet strat and see what you can do.... it worked for me

  • @fullyprimed Been thinking about that for some time...And I started collecting money for a guitar...Almost there :)

  • @demma961 Sorry don

t buy a bullet strat. It is crap.Better make some more money and buy a decent epiphone or an esp or jackson.Even mexican stratocasters you can find for less than 500.

  • We should play this on the radio all over the world. And anyway who goes "wtf is this shit?" is shot on the spot. = All the world's problems solved.

  • this song kicks ass! :D

  • this is like calling out to god

  • No time for comments.

    (Headbanging)

  • And people call Slash the God of guitar...

You know what happens when Yngwie meets Slash?

    FATALITY!

  • @TearBlade Slash? more like my-ASH! That faggot will NEVER play a True Metal riff!

  • @aztecterrorism Ash? After 38 takes to do the simple intro to Sweet Child O' Mine? More like ASS. He's a metal poser and has never raised the first shred of respect from me.

  • @TearBlade Slash sucks

  • @TearBlade YNGWIE WINS! FATALITY!

  • @TearBlade but first a flawless victory

  • @TearBlade yea than MAB comes along and kills yngwie

  • @TearBlade Slash is an over-rated tool compared to even a modestly talented bedroom guitarist. The fact that Slash is ever mentioned is due to the non-existent standards of what a good guitarist should be during the 90's.

    Just my opinion though. :-D

  • @kungfuman82 Interesting - why? He may not have the technical shredding ability of Yngwie but the emotion he puts in is incredible!

  • @123Superpro What a person feels when listening to a guitarist is purely subjective. In the 90's it became popular to play rehashed blues licks while making "O" faces and calling it "putting emotion into my playing, not just playing scales". It's just a cover for a lack of any real musical ability... *cont'd*

  • @123Superpro ... However, I don't think that one has to be able to shred in order to trule emote either. It's really about what you truly feel and how you present that to the listener. I've just never felt anything from blues-based music, but I feel A LOT from classical-inspired, modal-style music.

My tongue-in-cheek hate towards Slash is due to me just not liking his music, but that's my opinion. If you like that style, then by all means master it and go kick some ass!

  • @kungfuman82 you are totally right, he is one of the most overrated guitarists ever, sooo much more people play better than him

  • @michnun Yeah, I mean if you like that style of music that's fine, but he gets so much attention and there are, in my opinion, better blues-rockers out there. I guess Slash just has a marketable appearance.

  • @kungfuman82 Hells yeah. slash blows dog. and almost none of these people would eixst withount eddie van halen's guidance.

  • @TerminatorARB Before one can become a guitar demigod themselves they must bow down to Lord Van Halen. To ignore him and his numerous contributions is sacrilege.

  • @kungfuman82

I'd love to see any bedroom guitarist right a solo as memorable or melodic as anything that Slash has written. Malmsteen is a horrible guitar player, his endless wankery is just about pleasing his ego, his song writing and the content of his playing is mediocre and generic.

  • @SuperMultiplus It's only "memorable" because he has a record deal and has people who like that kind of stuff buy his records. You have your own opinions, but you and I have different ideas of "generic", for sure. To me, playing blues licks that have been around since the 1920's and passing them off as "memorable" and "soulful" is generic. I will concede that Malmsteen is quite egotistical.

  • @kungfuman82

Its memorable because he has a record deal? He has a record deal because he is memorable. The difference between Slash and Malmsteen is that Slash CHOOSES to play something melodic, he has proven that he can do 16ths at +200 BPM in Paradise City and other songs, he just doesn't need to, to fill his star power bar like Malmsteen.

Btw.: running diminshed and harmonic minor scales in ways that people have been since the romantic era isn't exactly "fresh" either.

  • @SuperMultiplus Don't embarrass yourself, they're 8th note triplets. And the most memorable song GNR ever did (and let's be honest, GNR is the only band that he ever had success with. VR doesn't count because it was formed for Guitar Hero) was "Sweet Child Of Mine", and that song was only written at Axl's request (Slash hated the song).

You can get feisty and butthurt all you want, it's only my opinion. I have no patience for internet tough guys.

  • @kungfuman82 agreed but what about his november rain solo?

it was one of the best solos of the 80's

  • @da66661 Oh, please don't get me wrong, Slash has put out some great stuff (November Rain solos being among them). I also should state that I'm not the biggest Yngwie Malmsteen fan (I was looking for a song I liked from him and clicked on this one by mistake). I just think that, even in the realm of blues rockers, there are a lot better and more consistent players than Slash and that he gets a disproportionate amount of publicity.

  • @da66661 You need to be a phenomenal guy to hear that solo in the 80's, because it's written in the 90's... -.-

  • @kungfuman82 Eric clapton is the best guitarrist no doubt about that... he go to the 2 to 21 in the same second wtf !!! if you play guitar read his tablatures this guy is fucking insane !!! simply the king...

  • @JJOOKER LMAO!

  • @kungfuman82 You know how to play a guitar ? i dont talking about personal taste i talking about technique if you know how to read guitar tablatures you will know that Eric Clapton use the hardest techniques... i dont saying about i like that or not the bands i most like are Dio ,Dangerous toys Motorhead and Metallica but no doub about techniques Eric is simply the king what i can do... you need to put your tastes aside a little you can not like Clapton but facts are facts...

  • @kungfuman82 Well I think Hendrix can win against Eric but sadly hes dead...Yingwie is good with close chords he´s fast and accuratelly but he dont make long chords... he goes gradually Eric and Hendrix not thats the difference i think lest forget about who´s best they are great guitarrist with great musics thats what matter...

  • @JJOOKER Dude, stop it! My face hurts and I'm about to piss myself from laughing!

  • @kungfuman82 You are a fucking retarded that cant put personal taste aside techniques i bet you cant even play a fucking guitar blocked asshole !!! and being a rock musician dont have anything to be good in a guitar its different things but your tiny brain cant understand that i think !!!

  • @JJOOKER Oh wait, I thought you were being sarcastic! My bad. If those are your personal tastes I didn't mean to insult. For some reason I picked up on a sarcastic tone, like a joke. Mea culpa.

  • @kungfuman82 Yeah my Bad too and im not a fan of Eric musics only his techniques... i like rock and heavy music but i can recognize that he´s a great guitarrist... well he pratice with Hendrix thats normal...

  • @JJOOKER I feel the same way. I always say that you can only be so good before whether or not you're preferred over another guitarist comes down to simple tastes in music. If you're a fan of metal and that's what you like to hear, than Eric Clapton's most likely going to bore the shit out of you. If you like slow-jam blues, then metal's going to annoy you.

  • @kungfuman82 You cant learn proper skills only listen to rock even Yngwie Malmstein know about this he listened a lot of classical music Niccolò Paganini was like a master to him he always say that he was his inspiration you need to get over your preferences to get good simply that... everyone think that to get good the greats like yngwie only listened to rock poor tinny minds...

  • @JJOOKER But please don't make the mistake of thinking that I'm a huge fan of Malmsteen. I was looking for another song from him that I happened to like and I clicked on this by accident and apparently hurt some feelings with my Slash joke. I like some of Malmsteen's stuff, but he tends to be a bit repetitive for me after a while. Still, I'd kill to have his skill.

  • @kungfuman82 Not only him i can say a lot of rock musicians that are great today and get inspiration by classical music... you need to listen everything or you will become like an old granny that can only do the same thing over and over and everyone will get bored of you...

  • @JJOOKER Couldn't agree with you more. I mean, if you just don't like something, then you just don't like something (for example, no matter how much I try I just can't stand jazz and rap/hip-hop/whatever), but I listen to a lot of film soundtracks (Hans Zimmer's the shit) as well as a lot of European metal (classic and modern), along with a healthy dose of American metal bands. Also like some New Age, but it's limited. What I listen to depends on my mood, you know?

  • @TearBlade Then Glenn Tipton kills Malmsteen with the painkiller solo

  • @fsadkfhdsj are you nuts?

glenn tipton's been a musician since the early 70's and malsteem

  • @TearBlade best comment ever on youtube xD

  • @TearBlade steve vai sais BRUTALITI n.n

  • @TearBlade

And what when Yngwie meets Dave Mustaine ????? FATALITY!

  • @GreekAnimeFan Come on... the lord of the Riffs? keep 'em separated. :D

  • @GreekAnimeFan U know, im die hard fan of Megadeth, but... But Malmsteen > Mustaine.

If we are talking about lead guitar. If about rythm... Mustaine > Malmsteen. Simple :D

  • Fucking amazing. Joe Lynn Turners vocals are truly amazing, One of my favorite Yngwie Malmsteen songs. One of Yngwies best singers along with Mark Boals and Jeff Scott Soto!

  • before the chorus of the song, the melody of''Aces High''Iron Maiden

  • epic drums!!!

  • i feel a rising force. in my pants.

  • @myunstoppablewilly epic comment haha

  • @myunstoppablewilly Judging by your username that's not uncommon for you.

  • @AlexMakesThings you got that right.

  • I love this album! Thanks for sharing!

  • unbelievable guitarist....

  • I remember playing this to a new guitar player friend I had found back in spring 1991. When it reached the ending solo, his face dropped like a stone because he realised in that instant, that he was not as amazing as he thought. His disbelief turned to anger because he was determined to match and maybe out do Yngwie, which although he came close he never actually did in the end. He gave up on music for a career in computers. Anyway that moment will live with me forever! Classic! :-D

  • @EgoShredder You can always tell the difference between a wannabe and someone who is seriously gonna go the distance with music by how they react in situations like that, when the realize they have a lot to learn. There's ALWAYS someone better out there for sure. I get inspired and excited when someone is better than me because it means I can get better and learn and reach a new level. I would never get upset or discouraged, that is a mindset that leads in the opposite way of success.

  • Ingwie is my God!

  • Ingwie is my God!

  • i always have to think of the fifa 2010 when i listen to this xD

  • this shit makes hip hop look like a turd on the floor XD fuck yeah yngwie malmsteen for life

  • Saw him with Black & Blue and Lita Ford at Irvine Meadows back in the 90's

  • yeah! men!!!!:

  • el vocalista es genial que voz mas cabrona

  • Damn why the fuck they kicked out Turner he was the best yngvie malmsteen singer

  • @advokatas1 Turner quit because, as he put it, "Me and Yngwie split over religious differences. He thought he was God, and I didn't see it that way."

  • @zls9890 well, yngwie was right LOL

  • @advokatas1 and now TIM RIPPER OWENS !!!! this one truly best of the best !!!!!!!

  • My guitar teacher plays the solo all the time! He even said he went to one of his gigs and his used like 17 racks of plectrums on the mic! Fucking Savage!

  • simply "THE" song

  • works better than viagra

  • la tengo grande (:

  • @vaquitos666 jajajajaj nunca falta un comentario pendejo pero buena

    que ten grande? ¬¬

  • Beethoven of our time!

    Jimi Hendrix of our time!!

YNGWIE MALMSTEEN OF ALL TIME!!! (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN = greatest guitarist ever, right? xD)

  • This song can only be sung by Joey Lynn Turner

  • @daniells7 LINDA MUSICA??,ES EL HOMBRE QUE REVOLUCIONÓ EL MUNDO DESPUÉS DE JIMMY HENDRIX.NO HAY GUITARRISTA MAS VIRTUOSO QUE YNGWIE MALMSTEEN,Y LOS QUE HAY APRENDIERON DE EL

  • my first heavy metal song ,i listen in the year of the lord 1988.

In my darkest moment...it started my heavy metal path. After 20 odd years still rocking.

Thanks Velu,Anbalagan,Amuthan,it started with you guys..
