5 months ago I let my "Cougar" go & I feel the same as this video. I'm broken into pieces & I can't find a way back. He was truly my best friend.
One thing I'd like to suggest about guilt = Add up ALL the minutes you loved your cat (15 years x 365 x 24 x 60) & you get LOTS of minutes. Compare that to the maybe 100 minutes when you weren't perfect. You'll see that your cat was lucky to have you & your love, & they don't think about our mistakes.
He does forgive you. and know that you love him and he loves you and missess you very much. but he wants you to be happy now because he is in a better place, and because you made him happy his whole life. its your turn now. theres nothing to forgive. he knows how much you loved him. you were the person that fed his tummy, and petted his back, and cuddled with him, and the one he called his mother. if you stay miserable you are causing him more pain than helping. he wants his mother to be happy.
