  • he said in 01.38 "no mind"

  • beautiful two step motion for a first move. yes, this is a great movie.

  • Flawless victory.

    FATALITY.

  • What's the scene where a guy runs at soldiers with guns and the samurai has two swords but gets shot to pieces

  • @BizarreGuitar18 Rescuing Katsumoto.

  • oh katanas are dealiest when close-quarter fighting.

  • @christmascnn No shit, they are only about 35 inches long. It's not gonna reach out and touch something.

  • @Z0mb3hHunt3r Hahaha!!! That is fuckin hilarious! Very nice!

  • @DPUMA8 thank you =], i practice iaido lol

  • @christmascnn It depend on who are you fighting. Against a unarmored person or a warrior armored with a Asian armor you're right but a Katana couldn't cut a Knight armor: A chainmail or a plate armor . Katanas were made with the best steel on their time and by the best ironmasters, but they've got limits, as all weapons.

  • @Huma270490 as a student of Mugai Ryu (cutting from the draw) I agree, however much like Knights of the West the best strategy for dealing with armor is in thrust to less protected areas such as joints or inner thigh. The Katana excelled at what it was designed for, but it is poorly matched against heavy armor or larger shields used in an offensive manner.

  • Tom Cruise is awesome.

  • fav. movie

  • One of my favorite scenes of all time

  • i wonder if thats a real strike you can use to behead someone or you need a strike with more force

  • @Master8laster with an extremly sharp katana i think that would be enough for a clean decapitation but im not sure

  • Nathan Algren is the ancestor of Chuck Norris!

    lol jk

  • @megadeath45 chuck norris has no ancestors, chuck norris is nathan's ancestor :D

  • @megadeath45 Who the hell is Chuck Norris?

  • @pliteni O_O your kidding right

  • @megadeath45 You mean Jesus?

  • isnt edward zwick the director of 300 as well? no wonder the choreography in both shows are amazing!

  • no i believe the director is zack snyder

  • @RSixBoy oh yes u are right... anyway both are brilliant

  • @Strummify No, Zack Snyder is the director of 300

  • I love this movie

  • Good martial artistry is 85% anticipation of an opponent´s next move... This scene is breath-taking indeed, but the unlikliness of a man who only trained for such short time achieving this level of expertise, actually does take something away from it...

  • the fact that there were never american advisors in Japan also takes something away from it. The fact that they were French is astonishing indeed, because a French person would never survive to be captured by Samurai. They would ball up and start crying.

  • I didn't know that... Shitty movie!!! (Just kidding...)

  • @Shittywaffles yeah and the americans would act like like heroes right....???fuckhead

  • @Shittywaffles you idot, just because you hear storys of french people acting like pussy's, doesn't mean they are, some of the greatest warriors were frank, which the french are descendent's from

  • @RIDONKulousify

the French ARE the Franks. The Francisca is from france. You might know it better by it's descendant, the Tomahawk.

  • I agree, I've been practicing martial arts for 2 years and I still have a long way to go.

  • I practiced for 12 years, earned my black belt, won several jujitsu and judo tournaments... and I STILL have a LONG WAY to go! Hehehe... but the most important thing, I absolutely fell in love with martial arts and combat sports...

  • @josepablobolanos

He was already trained in the martial arts of the west.

  • They will, 24th of march.

  • Proven. The time has come.

Death punishments are about to enroll.

  • Fast Cuts? The street fight scene looks pretty much as it was edited in the original film?

    Nice vid

  • Why the fast cuts?

  • Amazing. He did a great job.

  • yeah, you could have done better obviously
