@chrokeii Aikido doesn't have the same emphasis on fighting and competitive training and also you just can't pull off many Aikido techniques such as the locks in a controlled sport environment or with heavy resistance. They're illegal obviously because it's not possible pull off a technique without following through on a resisting opponent. It's the same as with a lot of traditional Jujutsu techniques. With that said, there's lot's of useful knowledge any martial artist can pick up from Aikido.
LOL. The student just stopped throwing the punch. I love it when students go all rag doll for instructors so they look good and effective.

I know that aikido guys aren't into competing, but i would honestly love to see a good aikido guy like this compete in mma.
