Me and my same sex partner have a son and take my word, our son is more normal than many straight parented kids. Kids need love, attention, guidance, trust and positive energy around them. It does not matter if this comes from two moms, two dads, one mum, one dad or from one mum and one dad.

In fact, most children of gay and lesbian parents are better adjusted or just as well adjusted in relation to children of heterosexual parents. I'm pro-marriage, bi, and all. But the truth is there hasn't been enough gay parents for a long length of time for us to determine whether or not it is harmful to a child even if we hope it's not. However, the key thing is it CAN'T be worse than the millions of us with single moms, deadbeat dads and etc... Having both parents is better than a single mom, but I had one, and it was fun. We can't all live in white picket fences. And I bet any child in foster care would prefer having 2 dads.

I think your idea to showcase your family has been courageous, ground-breaking, and inspirational. I can't say as much as I want to in each comment due to the character count limits, but it's ok because you guys have plenty of videos for me to rate and comment in lol. Anyways, while I knew gay families existed, I've never actually seen any until you guys. Having a visible model of a gay family is huge. And having good gay family role-models moreso. Thanks for the comment. Yes we could go to Canada but unfortunately the state we live in does not recognize out of state or out of countries marriages of same sex couples...sad. I hope it changes in our lifetime...better hurry though!!!!

I'm pro-marriage, bi, and all. But the truth is there hasn't been enough gay parents for a long length of time for us to determine whether or not it is harmful to a child even if we hope it's not. However, the key thing is it CAN'T be worse than the millions of us with single moms, deadbeat dads and etc... Having both parents is better than a single mom, but I had one, and it was fun. We can't all live in white picket fences. And I bet any child in foster care would prefer having 2 dads.

My partner and I live in Ohio which has no marriage or civil unions. We have been together for 18 years now. The evangelicals put it on the ballot when Bush ran for his second term. I just don't understand how "the majority" can put the "minorities" rights on the ballot and then just "vote" them away?? I am not a constitutional scholar but that just seems wrong!

This little girl is getting so much love, she will be spoiled rotten! But what's the use of having children if you can love them to pieces! I grew up beaten and miserable thanks to my straight parents. Without my beloved grandparents I would not have known any happiness. It would have thrilled ME to death to have parents like this!

By the time their kids are teens it won't be an issue, in fact depending on the location it isn't right now. I knew someone with a gay parent, I don't remember any negativity, we (as 11 year old children) were clearly much more mature than you are now.
Its just a card, geez. A ton of kids live with single parents and I don't see that a massive greetings card dilema has ever risen to cause strife in society, honestly!

MStoneManiac, when one talks of stigmatization, I believe that a society marked by those ignorant and prejudiced against gay people should bear the blame for stigmatizing others. Think of a couple of bullies harassing a student only to turn around to pretend in front of the teacher that the student is bothering them and cause the student to go to the dean's office. We all bear responsibility for how we treating everyone else in our lives.

My kids give bolth fathers day cards to there two fathers also we send a balloon with words to my kids biological parents on special holidays. My daughter will learn womenhood as you call it from grandmothers aunts cousins and friends. Not sure how old you are but kids today get what it means to be gay and guess what they arnt scared of it as you are. I guess you would have rather my kids been left in foster homes the rest of their lifes instead of being raised by us fags.
