I dedicate this song to my dad,to all that reads this will and still remember him playing and singing this to all no matter who was around I LOVE YOU DAD AND MISS YOU SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE<3
A while back my dad and I used to ride to work together. On bad days, he'd pop this tape in and tell me he had a special song for me and this was it. So there was my dad and I, cruising up 65 in Nashville traffic with this song pouring out the windows. :) I smile every time I hear it.
My Mum requested that this song be played at her funeral, and it was, it bought every one to tears, I remember when I was younger watching my Mum dance to this song with my Dad. This song has both bad and good memories, I have now lost both my parents and when I think about how they used to dance to this song, I like to think that is what they are doing now. I miss them both terribly.
I love this song and Ferlin Husky knows he can sing it. The video is awesome, I could sit and watch it all day long. God truly guided your hand on this.
This was my papa's favorite song, he left too soon but fought the rare type of cancer he fought it strong never gave up, i envy him for keeping strong, now he has his wings and flys up high with my nana :'( r.i.p papa 3.22.42-3.28.05 (64) r.i.p nana
5.3.45-6.25.09 (64) i love you my angels, ill love you guys forever! see yeah later
Amazing video. i am indian. When the lyric comes regarding "troubles" the picture has the march under an owls wings.....and owls according to tradition are "bad' Very good depiction.
My grandfather passed away sept 28 and at his funeral we played this song, he requested while in the hospital. I loved him so much, he was 84 years old and married for 62 years.
My Grandfather just passed away this morning of Sept 3. he was almost 100 yrs old so I was looking for a song and this song fits him perfect. Thank you for posting this video. I give you all stars in heaven for this one.
Thanks... Love this song. Popular when I was a kid. Bought the record (still have it). Remember watching it spin on the turntable & pouring out the speakers. Clean version here. Audio is INCREDIBLE considering digitally remasted from original tapes...but, has lost some of it's depth in the process. Video is only so-so. There are better video versions on this site. Still this is a great song/artist/recording! Enjoy!
My friends we praying for me. One of my friends, HB, had the impression that GOD was singing this song and MAY THE LORD BLESS YOU over me. PRAISE THE LORD! At the same time, another friend, Anne, sang "HE IS HERE" to reassure us of GOD's presence and love. This truly reflects what was written in Zephaniah 3:17 "The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save, He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing." PRAISE THE LORD!
Thank you for making all of these beautiful and soul stirring videos. Please continue to put more on YouTube. God Bless you. PS. I am part Native American (Choctaw).
ahh i keep coming back here for the words? loved this song in the 60's. is this a country, gospel or religious song? never figured it out? if it's "christian" it should be in hymnals, but i haven't found it there?
I am disappointed that it doesn't include the 3rd verse of the song. (When Jesus went down to the river that day, He was Baptized in the usual way, when it was done, God blessed His Son on the wings of a Dove.) The pictures are beautiful.
Not only have i always loved this song but i have always had a deep affinity with anything Native American (i havn't a clue why, bearing in mind i'm English), so to have a Native American theme put to this song is doubly great. Thanks for posting.

This is awesome. Ferlin is from Farmington Missouri.
Can we hear Camping in Cannans Land.
I am not sure who charted it but the song was written by Albert E.Brumley in 1937. Springtime Echos according to the gospel hymanal.
I was told the blackwood brothers charted it.
Thanks for your consideration.
